1979 Pontiac Trans Am, Van Nuys Built CA car that still has it's original paint and decals. K code 403ci automatic with A/C and Tilt wheel. Engine runs strong and sound good ( ie, no smoke or strange noises), the transmission feels fine with good positive shifts, 2.41 safe-t-track differential. I bought this car as a guide to route vacuum lines and restore the engine compartment on my 77 403ci T/A. That project is now finished so the 79 is up for auction. The Trans Am has a clear CA title and the registration was current thru Aug/2012. The under carriage (ie floor pan, trunk, frame rails, 1/4 panels, etc) are completely rust free. This is a great car to drive and enjoy while you restore or use as a parts or donor car for another TA. The odometer is showing 50K miles, although the T/A runs strong I have to assume it's rolled over and is now 150K miles. Problem areas: The interior is showing it's age and will need to be restored . I body has small dents and dings. The windshield is cracked. The fuel door, center console lid, driver door arm rest and A/C compressor are missing. The trunk lid is rusty and will need to be replaced. The driver door has damage on top rear edge and a rust spot on the bottom corner (shown in photo). I have tried to show all problem areas in the picture's.
