Vehicle Detail
This is a 1997 Chevrolet C-1500 2wd, real 4 door crew cab, built by Centurion Conversion company. I will give some history on these trucks, if you are not familiar, GM did not make a crew cab Silverado 1500 (1/2 ton, 5 lug) in the 90's. (They only made the 1500 in regular cab or ext cab, or crew cabs in 2500, or 3500, 8-lug.) Centurion took a regular cab short bed, straight off the GM assembly line, stretched the frame, and bought all genuine GM parts, (cab and interior parts) and made these crew cab short beds. They then sent them to the GM dealers to sell as new trucks. This conversion costs $18,000, plus the msrp of the original truck was around $21,000. These truck were not cheap. These truck are very rare, rumor is they only made about 100 of them per year, (from 1995-1998). Just a quick note, because of the conversion, the VIN and registration shows as a regular cab 2 door truck. Now to this truck, it is dark polo green with grey interior. 5.7L 350V8, 4 speed auto, trailer hitch. VERY LOW MILES, only 89,016, as of today. (I am still driving the truck, so the milage will go upa little) When I got it here, I installed a new belt, fuel filter, K&N air filter, Optima yellow top battery, and had the oil changed, and tinted the windows, and istalled a new CD radio, with USB connector for your Ipod. I bought this truck in May of this year, from the original owner, that had it 14 years, 6 months. It had 85,000 miles when I got it. It was located in NV, and had been garage kept all it's life. I had it shipped here after I bought it. It is a desert truck, so NO humidity, NO rust. The interior is almost perfect, I would say 8.5 of 10. It has a carpeted dash cover, (that the original owner insalled, so the dash is perfect, no cracks) I added custom made floor mats front and rear when I got it. It has a 40/60 split bench seat in the front, and a bench seat in the back, it hold 6 very comfortably. The passenger front door has 3 small door dings in it (I would assume they could prob be taken out by a paintless dent guy) other than that, no dents, no damage. The paint has some scratches in it, nothing major, but from 5 feet away, you can't even see them. The paint is still very good, and shines nice, (except the roof, it's not faded, but it just doesn't shine like the rest of the truck). I was going to have a detail shop do a good buff out on the paint, but just never had it done. The tires have alot of tread left on them, the set of stock wheels are missing one trim ring. I searched long and hard to find this truck, I had plans to lower it, put custome wheels on it, etc, because it's such a rare truck. But a more important truck to me personally, suddenly became available for me to purchase and restore, so I will pass this one on to someone else. It is available to be looked at on Lake Worth, FL Any questions please ask. I have the clean FL title on my name in hand ready to sign over. any question just ask.
