Vehicle Detail

For Sale: Mechanic's Special! 1997 Chevy Blazer with four wheel drive transmission. Most sellers only say the good things about their product, but I share the good, the bad and the ugly! Check my feedback and bid with confidence! The Ugly: Service Engine Soon light stays on and MAY have a blown head gasket. I removed the EGR valve to change the thermostat in my driveway in July. It started to rain, so I tried to put the car in the carport and forgot the egr valve was off. The fan belt cut the wires. I reconnected them, but two things happened: the fuel gauge is stuck WAY past full and the Service Engine Soon light now stays on all the time. Now, I'm (clearly) not a mechanic, but the car overheats after about 5 minutes. Don't know if it's a head gasket or something else, so I disclose that it is a possibility. The significance of the Service Engine Soon light is that the car will NOT pass emmissions so buyer acknowledges that they are purchasing as-is with NO responsibility to the seller to get it to pass emmissions. There is a hold-harmless waiver to that effect the buyer must sign. The Bad: There's about a three foot line crack in the windshield from following a gravel truck too closely. There are about three or four baseball-sized "splotches" where I tried to paint over some scratches and the colors didn't quite match. The windshield washer fluid tank leaks. CD player has a tough time accepting discs. The Good: The transmission was replaced in October 2011 by Aamco transmission http://www.aamco.com/centerinfo.asp?centerNum=4047667555 of East Point, GA at a cost of $2,511. They don't warranty four-wheel drive trannys longer than six months, but it is a pretty new transmission. Good tires (I'm actually more disappointed in losing my investment in the tires than in the transmission). Full-sized spare tire. Radiator replaced July 2012. Water pump replaced November 2011. Lifetime warranty on the alternator. Class three receiver hitch and heavy-duty flasher. Running boards and roof-top luggage rack. Tinted power windows, power locks, cruise control, tinted rear windshield with defroster, rear windshield wiper. Privacy cover in the cargo area. Seat covers and the interior has NEVER been smoked in ONE DAY in the 15 years I have owned her. Clean title in my possession. Stereo with detachable face plate. The Great: I do not believe in reserves; whatever the best offer is that's what it's worth. If you tell me a good enough story, I literally might just GIVE it to you, but it's gonna have to be a VERY good story! Gotta pull at my heartstrings and they're pretty short. I do NOT engage in post-bidding negotiations. Questions are INVITED! I do not do the "Oh! I didn't see this; can you take something off the price??" The answer will be a resounding "No!" If you find something that you deem to be a material defect that was NOT mentioned, I will void the transaction AND refund your deposit MINUS the insertion fee. Thanks for reading, questions welcomed. Check my feedback and bid with confidence! Good luck and Happy Bidding!
