Purchased from the original owner with around 70k miles on it in 2005. The V6 is smooth and actually a little cheaper to maintain than the 4cyl turbo (says my mechanic). The car is very stable and quiet, even at high speed. Seats are in good shape with no holes. This car is smoker free! Exterior: It has been garage kept for most of its life, so the paint looks great. The only problem spot is on the hood where there are some scratches and a series of small dents (from hail). Modifications: NO mechanical after-market modifications made. However, I've added 4 stock VW alloy wheels and an XM Radio receiver which has been disconnected from power. The keyless entry/alarm system has been replaced with an aftermarket unit. The key-less entry works fine, but sometimes the alarm can go off if the doors are opened within a certain period of time after unlocking. If you're a serious buyer, I will be happy to explain further. Finally, there are after market rubber floor mats in place of the stock carpet ones. Gas mileage: 20 City / 29 HWY (If you keep it under 70, the trip computer indicates avg 30 MPG or more). Maintenance: The oil has been changed every 3k miles or so, and various repairs from wear and tear have been made. 90% of the time I use premium gas. The car requires at least medium grade. Oil & filter was last changed in June 2012, mileage was 166,458. Most recently there was interference between the power outlet and radio which has just been fixed. A broken power mirror switch has also been replaced. The cruise control works intermittently. Tires: All 4 tires were replaced around 140k miles. Brakes: Front brakes replaced at 143,149 miles.
