For auction is our 1959 MGA coupe which we have owned for 32 yrs. It is in good condition as it has been kept in a heated garage all these years. We are the second owners and it spent it's whole life in Michigan and is showing 61038 actual miles. Have not drive it much in the last 5 years or so and a new project requires the garage space so it's time to let it go. It had an amateur frame on restoration some 15 years ago when a all new wiring harness was installed as well as stainless steel exhaust system, fuel line and weather stripping. The paint is fair still looks shiny, but could use a redo as some of the repairs are beginning to show up close. It does still look good from a short distance away. Bumpers need replating or replacing and the front is missing the guard as I like the smoother look. Engine has good compression and great oil pressure, has a spin on oil filter conversion, but have the original to go with it. Trans and clutch are good working order also as I just had it out for a drive and it runs at 185/190 water temp all day long. I had the kingpins and shocks rebuilt a few years back by John Twist at University Motors here in Michigan as well as new rear springs. John has done a lot of rebuild services for me starter, generator and carbs to name a few items. Also Moss Motors supplied alot of the repair parts in the rebuild. Just install a new pair of Interstate 6V batteries last year. Tires are good for being 15 plus years old,may need replacing. It is a fun car to drive, gets lots of looks and comments whenever we had it out for a drive or show. You could still drive it for a while and have fun, then think about a redo.
