For sale is a 56 Ford Fairlane tudor. This Fairlane is a DRIVER QUALITY car that runs and drives great, and is currently registered, insured, and titled in the state of Florida. We currently enjoy this Fairlane at cruise nights and car shows. This is a great entry level car for the person who is looking to enjoy cruising or for the family guy looking to go cruising and going for ice cream with the family. Driveline: Has the original 272-V8 2 barrel carb engine with a 3 speed manual trans with electronic overdrive. The engine runs smooth and quiet on all 8 cylinders and has great oil pressure. It has just had a complete major tune-up with pertronixs electronic ignition and coil. The reds headers were just installed along with new dual exhaust with glass packs that exit through the rear bumper. Has a 'great' rumble!! The holley carb and water pump are recently new. The radiator has just been cleaned, flushed, and resealed. The clutch and transmission operate as they should. The brakes work as they should with new lines, wheel cylinders, and shoes. All 4 tires are good - the front tires are new. Body: The body work and paint on this car is good but is not of show quality. 'It's a good 5 footer' - with a nice shine. If you get closer to the car there is some dust in the paint and there were some runs that I have sanded and buffed out. The car looks great from 5 feet with lots of thumbs up and nice comments. The glass is all good with the exception of the driver's door has a crack in the glass. The two rear window handles are missing. The car is running an electric fuel pump and a plastic fuel cell in the trunk. The fuel gauge does not work-just open it and look in. All of the lights and emergency brake are working. The temp gauge works along with an added oil pressure gauge. Interior: The seats are original with the front seat being covered. The rear seat is what you see in the pictures. If you want it to be perfect both would have to be covered. It is driver quality as it is. Chrome: The chrome on this car has some minor pitting on the door handles and around the front directional area. The bumpers and grill are nice. The wheels did have some minor pitting which I have cleaned up and polished. All in all this is a great driver quality car ready to go cruising or put a little more time and $$$ into it and have a show car!!
