Vehicle Detail
I have been working on this project for two years. I have invested over $ 25,000 in mostly new parts. If you send me an email request, I can forward a break-down of parts and prices. I can also forward a link to pix of everything on the list. I am selling because I recently remarried and I am moving into a home that does not have a shop where I can work on this project. I have the truck in my garage and the parts in a "POD" in my driveway. Ideally, I would ilke to get rid of both so I can list my house in the next month or so. The donor car was a 1998 Mustang GT. The suspension, rack-and-pinion system, motor mounts, rear axel/stabilizer bars/dual Flowmaster exhaust/etc. have all been incorporated into the chassis. The front suspension conversion/motor mounts and steering assembly were done by a professional. I have, in the boxes, the high-end modular-controlled air ride (Ride Tech) suspension. I have a new/freshly build long block (Power Train Specialists) and all new parts/assecories to complete the motor (new fuel rails/starter/alternator/water pump/coils/spark plugs/wires/BBS shorty headers/aluminum radiator/elec fan unit/etc). The long block is stock-build with free flow air intake and headers. It should produce about 10-20 bph more than the stock motor. My goal, mechanically, was a reliable truck/not pro-street monster. The motor is set up with stock fuel injection. I have the wiring harness/engine managemant module. The 5 speed from the Mustang has been rebuild. The Mustang differential has stabilizer struts welded to the frame. There are new disc brake rotors/pads, I have done a lot of the difficult/time consuming work on the truck. The door sills have been replaced. I have installed the LMC big rear window conversion, the back lower cab corners have been replaced. I have a suicide door kit from "Scissor Doors." I have installed the passenger door only. I have the hardware/parts to do the driver door but will not have the time to do it before sale. I have shaved passenger side door and cab. I have the electronic door poppers/locks. Everything that sits on the rear frame (other than the original fenders which I have) I have purchased from LMC truck (the entire bed/oak wood from Mar-K/hardware/louvered tailgate/rolled pan/etc). I have the Dakota digital dash/completely new interior down to the last knob/switch/relay. The new door panels/carpet/headliner are from LMC. There is a new Ididit steering column and banjo-style Grant steering wheel (interior is black). I purchased a custom "Blues Brothers" skull shift knob (the coolest part of the project) which I had planned to mount to an extended shift rod (visible from outside the cab). I have all the small interior items like new rear-view mirror/sun visors/dome light/arm rests/etc. I have a contoured LED third brake light which I planned to "french" in above the rear window. I have racing bucket seats and racing harnesses. There is a custom stainless steel gas tank between the rear frame rails. The plan was to build a roll bar inside the cab, with a cross member to secure the racing harnesses. The only big items I have not yet purchased would be the glass/wheels/tires. If you are like me, and have always dreamed of having a matt black, slammed '56 F100. This would be the project for you. I realize I will not re-cop my investment, so essentially, at this price, you will be getting $ 7,000 (plus) in new parts for free. I am advertising the truck in Charlotte and I reserve the right to end the auction, early, if I sell the truck locally. ************ I can not list my home until I get this project out of the garage and the POD (containing parts) out of the driveway. I have decided to evoke the "Or Best Offer" option.
