Vehicle Detail
This vehicle runs and drives great. It goes down the road smooth and quiet, starts, runs, idles and accelerates wonderfully as it should. I found this car in a garage that was sitting since 1991. After the original owner passed away, it was left to his son who regularly started and let run idle in the driveway. After the son passed away in 2011, it was then left to the daughter in law who introduced the car to me. I had it moved to my garage on a flatbed and immediately changed all the fluids ie; Oil and Filter, trans fluid and filter, and coolant. The AC belt was removed as the clutch on the compressor is seized. (Common on these). I also put new bearings in front and repacked with grease, along with new rotors, pads, COMPLETE tune up with AC parts, and all 4 brand new BFGoodrich Radial raised white letter tires in 255 60R15's. They really have a nice look to them and smooth ride and handling. I sandblasted the factory Pontiac rally wheels and repainted them to factory colors (without the beauty rings) which I will include in the sale. I felt it looked better without them. (Personal Opinion). The body is very solid, and has only seen one winter in its life back in the mid 80's. The doors close nicely as they should and are also solid on the bottoms. The quarters as you can see in the pics are also very solid with very minor pitting. All chrome looks great! The interior is absolutely mint and still smells new. The factory AM/FM stereo works very well and sounds great for being 37 years old! It has cruise that still works, rear defogger, all power options that all work, including power trunk, tilt with buckets and center shift console. (NOT SWIVEL BUCKETS). This Model J was ordered with most options available without being an LJ. The big block 400 has alot of torque and grunt in it along with the 4 barrel carb that works very well. Like I said, it starts, idles, runs and drives great! I would not hesitate to take a road trip anytime with this car. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Good Luck bidding and thanks for looking! ALL SHIPPING COSTS AND ARRANGEMENTS ARE THE BUYERS RESPONSIBILITY!!
