Vehicle Detail
This is a nice 69 Pontiac GP model SJ,with a rebuilt 428c.i.engine ( 370hp) and thm400 trans. which I finished restoring it in 2007. The actual mileage on it now is--59,176. I purchased the veh. in 2002 and titled it then. At that time, it had 57,825 miles on the odometer. It took me 5 yrs. to 2007 to restore it. That is when I put it on the road. I have only put 1350 miles on the eng. since I had it rebuilt. The only items that I have not fixed yet are---The cornering lites on the bottom of the front fenders aren't working, the air conditioner hasn,t been charged, so I,m not sure if the compressor works. The cruise control linkage isn't hooked up. I put a MSD electronic ignition distributor in it. I also replaced the quatrajet with a Edlebrock carb. It has has new tie rods, ball joints, shocks, front disc brakes and steering box. New exaust front to rear with flowmaster mufflers exept it has the original headers. New rear air shocks and new rear drum brakes.New rear coil springs. I added the hood tach but the needle sticks at 1500 rpm but when you tap the front of the guage, after engine is turned off, it will drop back to 0.This car rides and drives awsomly. I have much more $ into this veh. than I am asking, but it is time to find it a new home since I am getting up in my years and retired and can't afford to enjoy it the way I would like to due to health issues. This is a great veh. for the GP enthusiast. Good luck and happy bidding. This vehicle also came with automatic rear leveling control, which I never hooked up. I have the compressor and actuator valve for it that I will sell with the car. On Aug-31-12 at 14:35:17 PDT, seller added the following information: On Sep-05-12 at 14:20:46 PDT, seller added the following information: There is a dime size bubble in paint on right side of hood near cowl (see pic.)-- I developed a scratch on right front fender (see pic.) and a paint chip on trunk edge (see pic.) yesterday evening at a cruise nite gathering. I consider the scratch to be minor but looks a lot worse in the pic. Also, I forgot to list that the clock and factory radio don't work. The reserve is set much lower than the veh. value.
