Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a 1992 Sunburst Yellow Mazda Miata. Sunburst Yellow was a $250 option and Mazda advertised that it used 3 coats of paint. All Sunburst Yellow came with the "A" option package: power steering, leather-wrapped steering wheel, alloy wheels, AM/FM/cassette stereo, air conditioning and limited-slip differential. The only options were a Sunburst Yellow hardtop and automatic transmission. A total of 1519 Sunburst Yellow Miatas were produced between Dec. 1991 and April, 1992, making it the rarest production color and Mazda never used it on any other model except the Miata. The car you are bidding on is one of the 519 Sunburst Yellow Miatas that had the original factory hardtop, as well as the soft top. The VIN number proves this out, since the hardtop was a very easy retrofit and could even be fitted by a dealer before delivery. This car is a certified original factory hardtop. Additional information on this car is that it was the 180th (out of the 1519) built and was finished at the factory on 12/13/1991. The car has only been owned by Miata enthusiasts, specifically those who appreciate the color and rareness of the Sunburst Yellow model. The car has a clean title and CarFax report. I am a collector of late model, low production yellow convertibles. My collection has grown to a point where I can no longer house all of my cars. This car, being one of 519, is one of the more popular produced cars. (Most of my cars have a total production run of less than 100.) As I result, I can only provide a cursory description of the specifics. I have just moved it to a more convenient location and will be able to answer any specific questions concerning the car. I recently used "Color Back" to restore the luster to the paint of the car, and especially to the polyurethane bumpers. The car has the original premium floor mats embossed with the yellow Miata logo, which are no longer produced or available to the best of my knowledge, and as a result they are in the trunk and have not been used. They are somewhat worn. The soft top is in good to very good condition. There is a slight discoloration along the driver's door, which has there when I bought the car in 2005. It is hardly noticeable and will not show up in a photograph. Prudence would dictate that the tires be replaced. As I said, I will be more than happy to inspect the car with regard to any specific question or issue.
