Vehicle Detail

1976 International Harvester Scout II 4x4 with 345 v8 and automatic transmission. The 4 wheel drive works perfect with manual locking hubs. It has new tires, new battery, new brake master cylinder with booster, new alternator, new starter. It has the heavy duty front winch bumper and heavy duty rear step bumper. All of the gauges & lights work and it has cold air conditioning. It runs and drives great but the choke needs set because it has a little hesitation when cold. I have all the papers and original documentation including window sticker, bill of sale, line setting sheet, build sheet, invoice, records, clear title and many other receipts and documents. I have three tops for it: Travel Top with sliding side windows, Safari Top with hardware, and Pickup Truck Top with bed divider. I have the owners manual, warranty manuals and the installation instruction manuals for all of the tops. I found 1 small rust hole in the bed floor and a few pinholes in the side of the travel top. Over the years it has had a little primer sprayed on different spots as the paint faded. The safari top is in good condition but has a rip on rear window. All of the body panels and the floor pan is in great condition. The undercarriage and suspension is in great condition. It has all 5 rally wheels with one as the spare and spare tire cover. I have a lot of extra Scout parts that were accumulated over the years that are included. The odometer shows about 14,000 miles but is probably 114,000. You are welcome to inspect the Scout before you bid...Please email with any questions. On Aug-29-12 at 18:12:47 PDT, seller added the following information: I've had several people ask if the Scout would make a 4, 6 or a 8 hour trip. It runs and drives great but it has some hesitation in the carburetor when you first take off. It doesn't do it every single time but it does do it. I think it may be the step up pump in the carb but don't know for sure. Other than the hesitation I don't foresee any problem at least on a short trip. With that being said you will have to determine yourself if you want to drive it a long way or not. I'm like everyone else, I don't like surprises when I pick up a vehicle I purchased online.
