However, I've owned the car for 8 years so there may be things you notice in looking at the car that I've long since grown used to. I strongly encourage you to come and test-drive the car to see both what a great looking car it is and what a blast it is to drive. The good- Maintained exactly as per manual including oil chg every 5k, timing belt and water pump at 100k (lots of other minor stuff done at 100K as well).- Have all maintenance paperwork- Engine doesn't burn or leak any oil, turbo still pulling strong.- Car is quick. 180HP. Peak torque occurs at less than 2000 rpm and does't tail off until above 5000 rpm, don't need to rev high for it to pull hard.- Monsoon sound system with powered subwoofer- Moonroof- Heated seat- Original owner, bought new in September of '04.- Never in an accident- Mostly highway miles- Waxed 2x/year, exterior in excellent condition- Armor all/leather 2x/year, in excellent condition aside form issues noted below- AVERAGE 27mpg, highway over 30mpg The bad- needs tires- passenger side seat heater doesn't work- driver seat ripped on 1 of the seams on the bottom cushion- driver side mirror functional (heat,power) but mount is broken- small section of headliner unglued in left rear corner- cigaratte lighter/power adapter has light/power but doesn't charge my phone- check engine light came on in the past with a "failed catalytic converter" code but went off 2 months ago and hasn't come on since. Car is due for inspeciton in Sept.- Car has a dent or 2 and some scratches, but nothing unusual for a 8-year old car with more than 160k miles- 1 wheel is missing the VW center cap (easily remedied with cheap EBAY center caps)On Aug-23-12 at 05:12:28 PDT, seller added the following information: A/C blows code but has been making a bit more noise when first turned on for about 20k miles.
