Vehicle Detail
I have for sale my 1970 Dodge Challenger SE project car. This car left the factory with a 318 engine and an automatic transmission, but it now has a ’70 model 383 with an automatic transmission. The 383 runs great and is very strong. The engine has many new parts which include: new Edelbrock carb, fuel pump, water pump, plugs, plug wires, distributor, and coil. I’m not sure how many miles the engine has on it because the previous owner didn’t know, but it does run strong and holds good oil pressure. Like any old mopar, it will leak a little oil on your shop floor. The car also has many new brake parts. It has a new master cylinder, front wheel cylinders, brake pads, and brake hoses. This is one of the most solid, straight and complete e-body project cars that you will find. The floor pan is almost completely free of rust. It has only a couple small places in the driver’s side floor pan. The trunk floor has a little rust near the rear center portion of the trunk that will be an easy repair. The driver’s side quarter panel also has a little rust down low behind the rear wheel. The most significant rust is along the top of the front windshield. The frame rails are in excellent condition. Though this car largely disassembled, it is complete and still has all of the expensive SE parts as well as all the ’70 year model only parts. Undoubtedly, there may by a few odds and ends missing but this car is almost 100% complete as far as I can tell. This car has a good clear Oklahoma title in my name and is a factory orange car with burnt orange interior and a white vinyl top with the W15 simulated wire wheel option (the original wire wheel covers are still there). Unfortunately, like so many cars the fender tag has been removed at some point and is missing. However, the sequence numbers of the VIN tag do match all the body stampings. This is a legitimate 1970 Challenger SE and is one of the best project Challenger SE cars that you will find. I have included a photobucket link that has many additional photos of the car and the individual parts. Also, I have included a couple of YouTube video links of the car running. http://www.photobucket.com/1970challengerse/ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g-GcWbULFBM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eOgpFBtUvHI The car is sold as is, no warranty implied or offered. The successful bidder is required to send a $500 nonrefundable deposit within 12 hours of the end of auction via PayPal (other methods may be discussed and agreed upon prior to bidding!). If you are not able or willing to meet these criteria, do not bid until you have discussed options with me. So, please ask all your questions prior to bidding. The balance of the auction is due in full within 7 days of the end of auction. I prefer PayPal (for the deposit) and a postal money order, certified bank check, or cashier’s check for the balance. All funds must clear the bank prior to release of the car. I would like the car picked up within 30 days of the end of the auction. The buyer is solely responsible for arranging the pickup of the car.
