Immaculate 1957 Oval window Bug. Cool, Drivable and Very Collectible. VIN: 1500736 3,000 Miles since Body- Off Restoration. Clean Title. Matching Pan and Body VINs. Color: Cranberry with tasteful pin striping. This Oval window Bug is as clean as any new car you will see on a showroom floor today. She has the coolness of an Oval window with semaphores along with the reliability of a 1641cc engine upgrade with 12 Volt electrics. You would pay in excess of $40,000 to restore an Oval window to this condition today. This Bug has absolutely no rust on it – anywhere. As it was restored 19 years ago and dry stored any rust would have bled through by now. I have purchased ‘no rust’ Bugs on e-bay and they have turned out to require major sheet metal repair. This car really does have no rust on the body or pan. Engine: 1641cc. 1641cc means reliability without overheating issues. This car was built to be very cool and reliable with excellent performance. Gene Berg Heads with 2mm Oversize Inlet and Exhaust Valves. Carburetors: 40mm Kadrons. These are reliable and easy to tune. Ported & Polished Intakes Distributor: Bosch 009. Camshaft: Engle 110. Weight is 730Kg or 1,606 lbs. Shipping from Tennessee to Colorado costs $675 to $800 on an open truck, or around $1,200 to $1,400 in an enclosed vehicle.
