Vehicle Detail

Desirable early chrome bumper TR6 project with triple webers. Moss Motors sells triple Weber carb conversions which cost about $2500. installed. With triple webers it will absolutely run away from a stock TR6 with those cantankerous Stromberg carbs. This is a Florida car and comes with clear Florida title in my name. This car has a very good bones as it's very solid in trunk, floors and frame. Rockers have a couple of small holes you will see in black which was prepped for paint. They do not need to be replaced. The black paint you see in pictures on body is very small areas where rust was starting but was stopped by stripping and primer in preparation for body and paint. The trunklid needs to be repaired with some rust in the corners although you can buy nice used ones ranging from $75. to $125. Only other rust bubble area I found is on the passenger door about a third way up from the bottom will need to be repaired or reskinned. Interior and top all there but needs complete interior redo. Engine runs but hasn't been started for 6 to 8 months. Will need brakes looked at and a rebuilt power booster comes with it along with some other trim pieces. Comes with 72 spoke wire wheels. I have owned this car for over 5 years with the intent to finish but have lost storage so need to sell. Sports Car Market magazine had an article about how the TR6 is finallly coming into it's own and values are rising and Hagerty Insurance ran the article below. 1969-76 Triumph TR6- Those grumbling about being priced out of the big Healey market have frequently taken refuge with Triumph's last traditional sports car - the TR6. Sharing many of the attributes of the Healey, including smooth six-cylinder power, butch looks and ease of maintenance, the TR6 really is a credible alternative for those seeking the big British sports car experience on a budget of around one-third the price of a Healey 3000. Those on a budget may be watching the same price escalation all over again as the going rate for a nice TR6 has shot up from around $10,000 to closer to $20,000 in recent years. A nice TR6 purchased in the high teens now will be considered a bargain in a year. Notes: This vehicle is being sold as is, where is with no warranty, expressed written or implied.
