Also this truck has never been professionally cleaned/prepped/touched-up. It is "as-is", outstanding condition. The 1972 GMC C1500 Sierra Grande: This 2-wheel drive, long-bed pickup is powered by a 307 cid V-8 engine with a 3-on-the-tree manual transmission. This "Camper Special" is an amazing unrestored original with only 41,300 miles on it. The exterior (paint, trim, bumpers, signage), interior (upholstery, carpet, trim) and undercarriage are in outstanding condition. It drives and rides as smoothly as it looks. Original options included on this truck are: door edge guards, deluxe wheel covers (no dings or dents), chrome front and rear bumpers, heavy-duty radiator, two-tone paint (white and dark blue), tinted glass, power steering, power brakes, tool and storage box, Cheyenne Super Equipment, undercoating, deluxe trim package, custom hound’s-tooth upholstery (the seat cushion is still firm and very comfortable), padded interior elements, and chrome bed rails. The original owner also added fog lights and speakers in the doors and speakers above the rear window by the headliner. New equipment that I’ve added: new windshield with original chrome trim, new USA-1 digital AM/FM radio with aux (ipod) input and Pioneer speakers, new body-length rocker flares/mud flaps, new door locks (the key was lost), heavy duty bed mat, Truxedo Lo Pro QT tonneau cover, and new tires.The History: Ordered special by the original owner near Salt Lake City, Utah. The original owner put 13,000 miles on it, then passed away. The owner’s daughter drove it occasionally, but primarily stored it until the early nineties when her brother moved back to Utah and drove it for a few years until he passed. Again the daughter drove it in the occasional parade, but stored it most of the time at her husband’s garage until I bought it from her in November of 2008. I know it was well taken care for all those years. It’s in awesome condition, but since this truck was used, it’s not a museum piece. It has some rock chips on the front of the hood, the bed and tailgate have some scuffs and scratches, the white paint is a little worn on the back of the cab where a camper shell had rubbed, the bed rails have a few holes drilled in them for the camper shell, and there is one small scrape at the rear of the bed on the passenger side. Other small issues: it will leave a drop of oil in the driveway once in a while, sometimes the blinkers won’t return, and the windshield washer fluid won’t spray. Never the less, this is the best original 67 to 72 Chevy/GMC pickup you will ever find. Why am I selling it? I had intended for this truck to be my daily driver, but I could never bring myself to drive it in bad weather – it’s just too nice. It’s always been garaged and I will include a truck cover in the sale. I’ve only put about 1,000 miles on it in 3 years and it is time for someone else to appreciate it. Clear title.
