This Porsche is a project car for someone with greater skills than me. It could be a great daily driver. Abandoned by my mechanic, who closed his shop unexpectantly, I now feel it best to end my relationship with this car. A year ago the car was purchased off of Ebay sans engine and transmission. The car has a rebuilt engine and transmission from a 1971 911T, vin 9111111315. I am unable to edit the product description regarding the engine. The engine for sale is not the standard to the 1978 911, Currently, the transmission linkage is disconnected and the engine runs extremely rough, I suspect the mechanic has allowed water to enter the engine, and may require additional man hours to get the right bank functioning properly. A recent compression check reports: (1) 155, (2) 145, (3) 150, (4) 75, (5) 15, (6) 5. The Targa top has been rebuilt by Dan Petchel and is in great shape. The car has a new radio, and the rear tires are new. The carpeting in car is of the style found in the early model Porsches with some patches of carpeting missing. The exterior has some scratches and dents associated with older cars and the driver seat has a seam separation in two areas. To the best of my knowledge the vehicle does not have any rust issues. A few months ago the engine was running strong and the a/c was also cool. Hopefully, the pictures will provide you with a better indication of the car's condition and you may bid accordingly.
