1969 Ford Galaxie XL Convertible. This classic full size Ford was the sportiest full size model available. It has a numbers matching 429cu 4v V-8 engine tied to an automatic transmission. First the bad- This car has some rust,l it is solid but it will need some body work to be perfect (rust on the trunk lid, bottom of the doors and bottom of quarter panels. Some repaired spot and no holes)There is a bondo patch on the side of the car that has cracked (see picture)The tranny has a small leak around the pan gasketIt needs a new top, the power works and goes up and down and the steel structure is perfect but the canvas is bad. The original rear glass window is intact and in good conditionNow the good- The motor is very sound and runs extremely wellThe transmission shifts perfectlyThe tires are about a year old (less than 1000 miles)The battery is 2 months oldThe master cylinder was replaced a year agoThe interior carpet is brand newAll glass is intact and in good conditionAll chrome is intact and in good conditionThe original AM\FM radio works The original top boot is includedThe speedometer is NEW The retractable doors work perfectly (however they will open over time of not running, very common)All lights work and it IS safe for the road and registeredThis XL also has the rare GT package which includes the center shifter, bucket seats and sport steering wheel.
