Up for auction is a 2007 Freightliner Sprinter 2500 van. It is a 144” wheelbase model with 72867 miles. It includes factory power windows and door locks. The van has a class 3 receiver hitch, Pioneer stereo head unit with rear view camera, speakers with separate tweeters in the doors. I have fully insulated the interior of the van to reduce road noise going down the road and to help keep the van cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter. I have also added e-track to the interior to give versatility to any tie down needs for materials hauled inside the van. The van runs/drives perfect. The tires have plenty of tread life left and I had a new belt installed on the engine last fall when I purchased the van from my company. I also had the dealer service the transmission and change the oil at the same time. I have put approximately 10k miles on the van in the last year and I would not hesitate to drive it anywhere. A 120 volt window mount air conditioner was added on the drivers side rear door this past spring and is in perfect working condition. The a/c unit could be removed if the purchaser chose to do so but the hole would need to be somehow covered up. The paint is in good condition but there are a few dings in the paint here and there as would be expected with a work van of this age. One the passenger/drivers side back panels you can just barely still see the faint outline of where our lettering was on the van. It would probably buff out if someone knows how to properly use a buffer. The van looks and drives good but does have a few issues: The SRS (safety restraint system) light is on and the dealer told me it would cost $1200 to replace a sensor under the dash. They assured me it has no influence on how the seat belts or air bags would work in a crash so I opted not to replace the sensor. The passenger rear door top latch does not seem to be catching and it needs to be adjusted or repaired. The door will close but it looks to me like the top of the door isn’t latching. The seat covers are worn and could stand to be recovered. It will be due for an oil change in 700 miles. History of the vehicle: I originally purchased this van new for my business and used it as a service van for my electrical contracting company. It has always been dealer maintained. A few years back the van was rear ended in an accident and the two rear doors were replaced. Last year we closed the company so I chose to keep the van personally so I am “technically” the second owner when the carfax is run because it was titled in my business first and my name second. Over the last year I’ve used the van to carry my family camping, on motorcycle trips, miscellaneous errands around town and it has worked perfect. The winning bidder is to pay a $1000 deposit within 48 hours of the end of the auction with the balance due within 5 days. Balance will need to be paid via paypal or cash. Vehicle will not be released if paid via wire transfer, check or cashiers check until the funds have cleared the bank. The item is listed as local pick up only but I am willing to meet with a shipper. The cost and arrangements for a shipper to pick up is the sole responsibility of the buyer. I am willing to meet a buyer at the bus station or airport if the purchaser decides to do a fly and drive. Please be advised that the sale of the vehicle does not include the mattress inside the van or the water/fuel cans on the back door.
