Vehicle Detail
One of the nicer Mustang's out there is this 1964 1/2 Mustang 260 V8 Convertible. Gently driven over its lifetime, it has a lot of nice features for any Mustang let alone, a rare 1964 1/2 260 V8. Appears to be garage kept for most all of its life. It has 65609 mileage, but we must post as mileage exempt due to its age. The body panels appear to be all original. No signs of accidents and doors shut tight, as does the soft top frame. Soft top fabric is complete with no holes or tears. No major pitting on most of the metal, makes us think it has been well maintained. Original drivetrain Ford cut off the production of the 260's for the early 64 1/2's and completed the model in 1965 with the popular 289's. Genuine "F" code automatic. Easy to drive. Car had an older restore possibly 10 years back It appears to have been re-painted at that time also. Some interior fading. While the paint does look nice, there are signs of cracking on passenger front in front of wheel, and some small blistering areas. Some overspray. Paint is probably a 10 footer. The areas that need work can easily be remedied and they dont detract from the looks of the car. Its ready to go. (SEE VIDEO'S) Dash is decent. No cracks. Radio isnt working but CD player works. Wood grain steering wheel. Will need minor tweaking to be fully road-worthy, but will drive you reliably from A to B the way it is. Engine starts right up and car shifts nice. Comes with Cragar rims and sharp looking older whitewalls. Brakes work good. Accelerator pedal is loose and needs attention, but works fine. Amazingly the frame and subfloor on this car look great. It may have a small spot here or there but the underside and frame support is in beautiful shape. New Florida title. Can help overseas buyers with export by taking to nearby port. Can also help with shipping within the United States. Good reserve set up, as our listings are usually priced to sell the FIRST TIME. Sold as-is, how-is with right to inspect. Good Luck On Aug-07-12 at 08:53:51 PDT, seller added the following information: Due to request for price, we added a BUY IT NOW. Good Luck On Aug-08-12 at 09:06:17 PDT, seller added the following information: ANOTHER VIDEO, AND MORE PICTURES OF TOP IN CONVERTIBLE FORM.
