Rare 1956 Dodge deluxe pickup with 'panaromic' rear window. tinted glass-no cracks but there is a tiny 'dimple' in the windshield where I indicate-not bad for a 56 year old vehicle. deluxe chrome front grill and chrome plated rear bumper. don't know why the front wasn't, but that can be accomplished to complete the look. 1961 vintage wideblock V-8. runs decent. 3 speed overdrive. don't know if the overdrive works. The truck needs rewiring-turn signals, etc. mileage is not certain--engine was updated to the superior 1961 at some point. engine has good oil pressure-guage works. carb was cleaned and functions well. As this truck was parked and stored in 1984, the mileage can't be that great. runs, stops. brakes were gone through and wheel cylinders rebuilt. gas tank removed, boiled out and painted. truck runs off the tank. floor of cab was replaced as needed-mats trapped moisture and rusted out. body is excellent-one welding repair to passenger rear fender-easily cleaned up if desired. the bed is the 7 foot version. there is a small area of rustout on the driver's side. easy to repair. this is a project. while we drove it a little locally, it isn't registered, insured so I don't drive around . I have confidence in the truck and we did what was needed to make it legit---run off the tank, stop safely, etc-but we didn't get into a full restoration and then be upside down rear fast. tires hold air, not meant for a long drive. The interior bench seat and headliner will need restoration-springs are good and intact. truck for sale locally also so I may end listing. car is in Fort Collins, CO .
