Very rare 1955 GMC 1st Series 1/2 ton pickup truck with 5 window deluxe cab. Hydra-Matic transmission and 248 straight six engine believed to be original. Has been partially restored, engine rebuilt by previous owner. Can be used as a daily driver with minor work, or a great restoration candidate. Fresh rebuild on the Hydra-Matic transmission. As is common with these advanced design pickups, the rear engine seal does leak. Converted to 12 volt and alternator. Has new battery, brakes and exhaust system. Frame and body are in good shape. There is some pitting on the front end, but overall, the sheet metal is good. There is some surface rust, but nothing structural. Bed wood is in very good condition and appears to be original. For daily use would repair turn signals, horn, windshield wipers and gasoline gauge. Driver side window and both wing windows are cracked. Windshield is slightly scratched. Odometer reads 69087, but actual mileage is unknown. Current condition and any defects have been listed as completely as possible; however, this is a 57 year old vehicle and is sold as is.
