Offered for sale is this classic 1949 Dodge Power Wagon 4x4 Truck,a very original and solid truck. I bought this Power Wagon about 10 years ago near Casper Wyoming from the 2nd owner. Originally it was used by a plumbing company in Casper Wyo. The truck has never been repainted and as you can see in the pictures has a few dents but no rust holes,only sun burn type patina rust. Very solid for a 63 year old truck! The frame is nice and clean and straight with no damage or cracks.The wood in the bed needs to be replaced and has plywood for the floor now. The rear fenders were missing when i got the truck so i made some out of thick black plastic,which looked good until the sun warped them,the fenders are now reproduced and available.The truck starts and runs good and has the original [T137 code] power wagon 230 flat head six cylinder engine with the correct carburetor and air cleaner.The electrical system is all original 6 volt and everything works good. The brake system has been all rebuilt a with new master cylinder,new wheel cylinders,brake shoes, brake lines and brake hoses. The tires are old and weathered but hold air fine. The truck drives good down the road and has no strange noises or leaks from the drive train,but these trucks are slow and with 5.83 axle gear ratio were designed for a slower pace! The driver side door window glass is missing and the pass. side door glass is cracked as is the pass. side windshield glass. the headlights and tail lights work and i installed turn signals as these trucks did not come from the factory with them. The original front mounted Braden winch pto winch works great but does need new cable. I hauled this Power Wagon home, brought it back to life and now you can finish restoring it or enjoy it as is like i have.
