Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my 1980 Fiat 600. This car is actually a Zastava 750, which is an identical version of the Fiat 600, made under license by Yugoslavian car maker Zastava. This car is superior than a regular Fiat 600. It is much newer in terms of production dates than Italian made 600's, by more than 10 years. The car is 100% identical to Italian made 600's, same chassis, same body, same motor, etc. But this car is newer, much more solid, and does not have the overheating issues most commonly found on the early Italian 600's. This car is a perfect driver, I use it daily, and have never had an problems whatsoever. Starts, idles, and drives great all around. Very solid, handles great, runs strong, shifts smooth. Absolutely no mechanical problems to note. Exterior and interior are both in very presentable condition. At most, the paint could use a nice buff, but it's all there. Again, not a concours show car, but an overall very clean and presentable well sorted daily driver. Very minor surface rust on the engine lid, about a 2x2" area (see photo), which can easily be sanded off and repainted. Aside from this, the car is honestly extremely solid all around. Even the most vulnerable areas, such as the undercarriage, rockers, and wheel wells and fenders are all 100% solid. This is one of the most solid and well kept unrestored 600's I have ever seen, and I've seen a lot in my day. Car comes with clean and clear NYS title. 100% street legal here in the US, and is eligible for classic/collectors insurance. The car has an original 61,xxx kilometers which translates to roughly 38,xxx miles. The very rare and sought after roof rack is not included in the auction, but I am willing to include it for the right price to the winning bidder. Anyone interested in purchasing this separately can contact me here on eBay. I have included photos with and without the roof rack installed. The 2 black stripes on the hood are made from automotive vinyl (see photo). If desired, they can be removed with ease, and will not damage the paint at all. This is not my first or only Fiat, I've owned and sold dozens of Fiat 500's and 600's in my lifetime, many of them here on eBay motors. I know these cars very well, and this one is the perfect car to be driven and enjoyed as is, but also has huge potential to be made into a show car or even an "Abarth" tribute. I pride myself on describing my vehicles accurately, whether good or bad. I do not like receiving "surprises", and therefor I try to disclose everything about my vehicles so that the future owner also does not receive any surprises. Please read and understand my description thoroughly before bidding.Good luck and happy bidding! Serious buyers only, any questions feel free to ask. Intelligent questions only please (example: NO, this car does not have air conditioning or power steering). The vehicle is almost 40yrs old, please do not be ridiculous in your expectations. If you want a new car visit your local Fiat dealership and buy yourself a 2012 Fiat 500 for $30,000. If the photos I provided are not enough for you, then you are more than welcome to come see the car in person, but unfortunately I will NOT take any additional photos for anyone, sorry.
