I am selling my 1990 Mustang LX. I originally bought this car as a project car and in the process of getting laid off from my job and having some changes in my life, I realize I will never get around to rebuilding this car due to lack of funds and time. This is what I can tell you about the car as far as I have looked at it / know about it. * For being so old, the interior is very nice, quite clean and in good shape * I was informed that there are 38,000 miles on this engine that was put in the car by the previous owner, I however do not know and would've listed it as EXEMPT just like the title states if E-bay would've allowed it * The exhaust needs to be completed, it has an X-pipe thrown on it but needs appropriate hangers and needs to be completed from the back of the doors to the rear of the car * The previous owner changed this car over from a 4 cyl. to a 5.0 by dropping in a 5.0 motor out of a 1986 Mustang * The previous owner did change out the back axle to work with the 5.0 motor * The body is pretty well cared for accept 4 small spots that have been Bondo on them and need to be finished There is a dent in the hood and minor dents that are hard to see but that is all. * To make the cars body perfect, I would also suggest replacing the rear and front bumper covers, they are cracked and scratched from the previous owners * The transmission doesn't always go into gear while driving this car, I learned this on the way home with it. It is not one gear either, it seems to switch from gear to gear. Sometimes you can get it into 2nd easily and sometimes you can't and so on. I don't know if the transmission was not put in properly, if it needs a new one or if it's a gear issue. I know nothing about tranny's and planned to have it replaced if I were to keep the car. * The car also needs the IAC or TPS adjusted or replaced. The car sometimes idles up and down on start up, I have not been able to look into this. Sometimes has a hard time getting started, but idles fine when running after a while. * All I have done to this car since I have had it is put in a new fan(the old one was chewed up) , mini starter and a higher performance alternator. They were all ordered brand new.The engine photos are current. You can see the new alternator and fan in the pictures. * The rims and tires that are on the car are only for moving purposes and and driving short distances, they are ugly and crappy tires and rims and were only put on the car so the previous owner could have his rims back. This car requires 4 lug rims. This could be changed it you so choose to. * The doors are slightly droopy, so I have purchased new door pins that are in the car but have not changed them. * This vehicle has not windshield wiper arms or wipers. This is a project car being sold AS IS! You will not be able to just drive it out of here it isn't in perfect driving condition. However with the right owner and the right care this could be a great car. I wish I had the money and time to put into it. Even if you wanted to put your own motor into this car, the body is worth the money. *All sales are final. This item is being sold AS IS.
