**********WHEELS AND TIRES IN PICTURES DO NOT COME WITH CAR. A SET OF WHEELS AND TIRES WILL BE PROVIDED, BUT NOT THESE. I WILL HAVE PICTURES OF THE WHEELSET AND TIRES THAT WILL COME WITH THE CAR THIS WEEKEND.********************************** You are bidding on one 1984 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce. Easy cosmetic(interior and top) project car or can be used as a parts car. 125K miles approximately. A/C car. 5 Speed. Power Windows and Mirrors. Little to NO RUST. Very clean example. NO WRECKS!!! I DO NOT HAVE THE TITLE BUT I AM IN CONTACT WITH THE PREVIOUS OWNER WHO IS WILLING TO GET ONE IF DESIRED. TONS OF PHOTOS AND VIDEO HERE: http://s200.photobucket.com/albums/aa267/velocejoe/Alfa%20Romeo%20Spider%201984/ I bought this car from a friend of mine because it had some things I really needed for another Alfa for another friend of mine :) The top and seats were swapped out from my other friends car. The wheels are going to be used for my personal car. The car will come with wheels and tires, just not the ones in the photos. SEE FIRST SENTENCE IN LISTING. I bought this as a parts car, but it runs and drives well. There is some evidence of the engine burning some oil, not unlikely for an Alfa with 125K miles on the original engine. I drove it about ten miles the other day, it holds temperature, idles well, etc... Engine has an aftermarket air intake, a very nice tubular header, newer rear exhaust. NEW: MOMO Steering Wheel, Engine fan, ALTERNATOR(remanufactured Bosch), Rear IAP(International Auto Parts) (RED) SUSPENSION SPRINGS with KYB Shocks. Here are the details: ENGINE: COMPRESSION IS 125-125-120-120 Front to Back COLD. Engine runs very well. Idles great, starts up every time. No leaks, but spark plugs do show some evidence of burning engine oil. No big deal for an Alfa with 125K miles, quite normal. NEW Engine Fan. TRANSMISSION: Shifts well. NO SECOND GEAR GRINDING!!! I suspect that it was rebuilt at some point (do not know for sure, just guessing) as the syncros feel good and second gear does not grind. BODY: Very well preserved. Original color was Ocean Blue. A respray was done at some point awhile back, but done to a good, complete standard, engine bay, door sills, etc. Would clean up very nice. It is a deep blue with light blue sparkles in it. I can find no serious areas of corrosion on the body. There are a few isolated spots here and there, but nothing structural or serious. No evidence of wrecks anywhere. The top is not in good condition. It will need to be replaced. All lenses are in good shape. The rubber section of the three piece rear spoiler on the driver side is loose. The driver outside door handle is partially broken but still functions. The only spot of concern able corrosion I can find is the driver side jacking point area. Floors are great, trunk is good. It has had a spare tire well welded in from another type of vehicle at some point. CHASSIS: Brakes work well. Suspension feels very good. Rear springs and shocks have been upgraded with NEW IAP RED springs and KYB shocks. There is a little vibration at the driver front during hard cornering, probably a wheel bearing starting to wear. No big deal. Front radiator support is solid as well as all suspension mounting points. INTERIOR: This is the weakest thing on this car. It is all there. Door panels decent, dash has cracks on the top as these all do, carpet is worn, seats are worn but function properly. Console is there and complete but has been cut for an aftermarket radio. I have the driver side seatbelt assembly. ELECTRICAL: ALL WIRING INTACT AND UNMOLESTED. NEW Bosch Remanufactured Alternator. Some stuff works, some stuff doesn't. Here is a list of what does work: Headlights(High and Low Beam), Brake lights and Turn Signals, Tachometer and Speedometer, Oil Gauge and Water Temperature Gauge, Seatbelt Light Brake Indicator and Headlight Indicators on Console and Gauges. Here is a list of what does NOT work: Power Windows and Power Mirrors, Horn, Running Lights, Wipers, Gas Gauge, Interior Gauge Lights, Odometer and Tripometer, Digital Clock, Heater Fan, A/C and A/C Fan, Cigarette Lighter. Some of the Console Lights are not operational. Car does NOT have a radio or speakers. HERE IS WHAT THE CAR WILL NOT COME WITH: Title, Spare Tire, Battery and wheels/tires pictured. It will come with wheels and tires. I will have pictures of the wheels and tires it will come with, this weekend. WHAT WOULD I DO: I know some of you will ask, so I will say that YES, this car "COULD" be driven home, but I am not responsible once you leave with it. I have driven it around town and some short highway driving, so it is your responsibility if you want to drive it home. The electrical stuff is probably simple stuff, I am not a pro at electrical stuff, so I have not tried to get any of it working, could be something as simple as cleaning grounds, fuses, etc. All wiring is present and unmolested. With a little or no cosmetic work, you could have a driver right now. The top is number one item to deal with unless you are going to garage it, then no issue for now. It runs and drives good, the body is in very good condition as well as the chassis. This would be the ultimate parts car, or a great weekend project, drive while you fix the cosmetics up. As far as the title, like I said, I am in contact with the previous owner who is willing to get a title, or provide bill of sale and you take it from there. OK, HERE IS THE STUFF I HAVE TO LIST TO PROTECT MYSELF: CAR MUST BE PAID FOR WITHIN 7 DAYS OF AUCTION END. CAR MUST BE PICKED UP WITHIN 15 DAYS OF AUCTION END, ANY LATER THAN THAT AND A $25 PER DAY STORAGE FEE WILL BE ASSESSED. NO EXCUSES. IF YOU HAVE ZERO OR NEGATIVE FEEDBACK, YOU MUST CONTACT ME BEFORE BIDDING, IF NOT, YOUR BID WILL BE CANCELED, NO EXCEPTIONS!!! I CAN ASSIST WITH DELIVERY WITHIN A COUPLE OF HUNDRED (NOT THOUSANDS) OF MILES FOR A FEE. BUYER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL SHIPPING ARRANGEMENTS. Thanks and good luck. On Jul-13-12 at 18:46:10 PDT, seller added the following information: I just spoke with the previous owner. He will be able to supply new title by the end of August if interested. Thanks. On Jul-15-12 at 17:38:24 PDT, seller added the following information: The wheels that will come with the car are pictured in the photobucket listing. They are CROMODORA 14" Turbina style wheels. Very nice. Tires will be a set of road huggers. Old and kinda dry, but hold air, etc.
