This auction is for a 1996 Ford Explorer. No Reserve. It is a 4X4 with a V6 Engine. The engine and transmission work well. 4 Wheel Drive works. This is a reliable car that never gave me any major problems and never left me stranded. It has about 273,000 miles and is in good shape for its age. I've owned this car since 2008. PS, PB, Cruise, PW, PL, Has an aftermarket Sony CD Player which I installed. I recently replaced the rear leaf spring shackles, spark plugs and wires, and front tires, all 3 oxygen sensors. The front tires were replaced in June 2012 so they are new. Always changed the oil regularly and this vehicle has had regular tune ups. There is an oil leak, which seems to be coming from the oil pan and check engine light is on (I was told by a mechanic that the catalytic converter needs to be replaced). The front left ball joint makes a squeaking noise, which I was also told by a mechanic isn't loose, but has a plastic seal inside that is rubbing. Anyway to get rid of the noise, the ball joint would have to be replaced. One of the two rear passenger windows does not work. The usual paint chips, just a few small dings and minor scratches, and crack in front lower air dam. The body is in good shape, other than a rust spot over the drivers side rear wheel (See Pic). This car is still used regularly, so it doesnt have any down time. Reason i'm selling is I bought another car and this has to go. Another good thing is the engine doesn't burn oil. When i changed the plugs about a month ago, there was no oil on any plug. This car is being sold as is, with no warranty. Pick up only - from either Mahwah, NJ or Warwick, NY.
