Hello, ........this is a very rare 1968 mercury cougar x-r7 in this condition with 39,000 miles on it. it is turn key ready to roll. I bought this car for my wife about 8 years ago. we actually found this car on ebay ourselves and have loved it ever since. we bought the car off a guy that was moving to go to college and couldnt afford to store it . this car floats like a buick or a lincoln. smoothest "hot rod" i've ever driven in. well now we are in the position where we need to sell it due to economic reasons. this car is a real head turner everywhere we go in it and we get compliments at nearly every light ! i have lowered the reserve to sell !!!!!!! i tried my best to take the clearest pictures so you can see everything for yourself. i have a lot more pictures but i cant post anymore on here so if there is anything i have forgot, please let me know. ok i will try to break this down as easy as possible so i will start out with the good stuff first then the bad stuff. good stuff: adult driven. 39,000 original miles only on this car. ford 302 v-8 engine. original paint job and still looks very nice !! has been garage kept and taken care of very well. all the interior lights are beautiful and work like day one . nice pioneer supertuner cd system . beautiful interior. all the seats are in excellent shape but the drivers seat could use a new skin on it. it has been patched and looks very nice but i would personally get a new skin on it if i was going to keep it. dash is in excellent shape. headliner is perfect. carpet in the car is like new. all glass is excellent on the car. all window cranks are in perfect working order and roll up and down very smooth. doors shut like butter . nice aluminum american racing rims . bf goodrich radial t/a tires are 90% new. all dash gauges work very well . door panels are nice and in working order. dual exhaust with chrome tips. very nice suspension. demon carburator. air conditioning. power brakes. good exhaust. all interior plastics moldings are like new also. air shocks. sequential turn signals are very cool and work perfect. all running lights in and out work perfect. vacuum automatic headlights work. nice paint job. black vinyl top is like brand new. all chrome is very shiny and like new. transmission shifts very smooth and nice. no leaks on windows. all rubber trim is in excellent shape. windshield wipers work . heater works great. all seatbelts are nice and work smooth. sun visors are perfect. ok now the bad stuff : car has small surface spots on the lower rear quarters that could be repaired if you are looking to make it show car ready all the way. could use a different carburator . nothing wrong with the it, its just a little bit too big of a carburator for the 302 engine. still runs fine but too much gas from the demon carb makes it smoke a bit until it gets warm. its a very expensive carburator . horn works fine, needs a 10 dollar relay to fix. i just never got around to it. tachometer cable needs replaced. tranny seal has aquired a small leak from sitting in the garage and being stored. has factory air but we never used it. needs a belt and probably new freon in it . i have been as honest as possible and tried to think of everything i can think of that you may have questions on. if you look at my profile you will see i am an honest seller and very easy to work with. i have 100% excellent feedback and work to continue that by treating people the way i like to be treated ! my wife has won first place all 3 times she has entered this car at the fuzz follies hot rod and collectors car show. no suprises with this car !! this is a beautiful collectors car that we hope goes to a good home and gets babied as it has in the years past. we have around $10,000 dollars worth of receipts also on this car. this is one sweet ride and i have priced it low to sell. if you have any questions please feel free to contact me here on ebay or you can reach me on my cell at 219-713-9482. my name is john, thank you and happy bidding !!!! :)) p.s. i also forgot to mention earlier that we also are including a 4 foot chest full of original parts from another 1968 cougar i stripped down for extra parts and an extra back window. serious bidders only please........................... :))))
