Up for your consideration is an exceptionally rare car. This is a 1990 Ford Escort Pony Edition. Even more incredible is that it only has just over 16K original miles. We have run a vehicle history and the mileage checks out. This car sold new in Asheville, NC and then went to Hendersonville, NC. So, it is a southern car and has been all its life. There is absolutely no rust on this little car anywhere. We're guessing it was garage kept. The paint all looks original. Even the dash pad is in like new condition. Exterior: The outside of this collectible economical little car is black and is in incredible condition. The paint shines like new. The hood has some very like cracking, but it is very minor. Even the original steel wheels with beauty rings look like new. Interior: The inside is gray cloth and is in outstanding condition. When you see the car, you'll have no doubt at all that the mileage is correct. Features: This is a pony edition of the Ford Escort. The pony editions were meant to be a no frills affordable car. As such, this car is a no option car. It has the factory radio delete. This means it has a plastic plate over where the radio would normally go. It even has a factory cover over where the antenna would go. Also, this is an A/C delete car. It did not come equipped with air conditioning. Engine: Pulling this little car is Ford's 1.9L 4 cylinder engine. These were very good engines. They were reliable, easy to work on, and got very good gas mileage. I have to sell this car "as is with no warranty". High bidder is required to make contact me within 24 hours of the end of the auction. $500 deposit (cashier's check or money order) is required within 2 days of the end of the auction with the remaining balance due 4 days thereafter. If the high bidder does not satisfy the balance in the alotted time period and does not make prior arrangements, the $500 deposit is non-refundable and I reserve the right, at that point, to offer the vehicle to the second highest bidder. If I do not hear from the high bidder within 48 hours from the end of the auction, I reserve the right to offer/sell the car to the second highest bidder. Zero feedback bidders are welcome, but please contact me prior to bidding. I reserve the right to cancel zero feedback bids that have not done this. Please keep this in mind if you are a "last minute" bidder. This car is for sale locally. If the reserve has not been met on here, then I reserve the right to end the auction early if someone comes on my lot and purchases it. I have set the reserve at $1800. Please note that I will not end this auction early except under the circumstances listed above. Ending an auction early when the reserve has been met is unfair to the other bidders and, quite frankly, downright unethical. We would be happy to pick up the winning bidder at the local airport (Greenville Spartanburg International Airport), the local train station, or the local Greyhound station. I do not pad our prices with any "documentation" fees like so many other car dealers on Ebay do. Contrary to what many dealers will say it really doesn't cost much to fill out a couple of papers. SC buyers will need to pay standard taxes (sales and property when applicable). I can also help out of state buyers get a South Carolina temporary/vehicle in transit tag ($20). Finally, we do not ship cars ourselves. However, we will certainly do everything we can to work with yours.
