1965 Ford Galaxie 500 XL Convertible. This is a running, driving, Ford Galaxie 500 XL Convertible. It drives smoothly, stops as it should, shifts properly and starts easily. I have a clear original title in my name. This car is a daily driver - as long as the sun is shining. It has a new dual exhaust system, power steering, and roll up windows. All of the glass is good. The car is very complete and should be an easy restoration project. The tires are almost new, and the spare is like new. The original owner's manual is in the glovebox and the original jack is in the trunk. This is a number matching car and has the original 352 V8 engine with its four barrel carburetor. The interior is complete, but is worn. The power top works and is complete, but as you can see from the photos it is tattered and needs replacement. I want to be sure the new owner knows exactly what they are getting. With this in mind, I will list the negative aspects of the car. I want to begin with saying that the car is a good running, original, car that is currently registered and can be driven. The negatives are as follows: 1. The power top works, but leaks fluid and comes up with manual assistance and the top is shot. 2. There is a small dent on the passenger's side and one of the smaller top bows is bent. It appears that something fell against the side of the car. This dent is not serious and everything aligns properly. 3. The interior is worn and the driver's front seat has a seam split. 4. The there is rust on the driver's side rear floor pan. I have taken close up photos of this from underneath the car. There is also a small rust spot on on the driver's side of the trunk floor. I have taken photos of this as well. 5. The body of the car is in good condition and the front fenders, hood, and trunk lid have been sanded and primed to correct surface rust. The panels that are primed are solid and in good, straight, condition. The interior is serviceable, but needs to be cleaned. To be show worthy, some of the interior will need replacing. Please look closely at all of the photos. I have taken the maximum amount allowed on Ebay and I have super-sized the photos to assist you in evaluating the car.
