Had this car sold, but just found out that the buyer can't get his finances together. So it is back up for sale! 1966 VWSingle Cab Pickup with Double Treasure Chests Up for sale is my beloved 1966 VW Single Cab! This Single cab is in very good condition inside and out, and drives absolutely fantastic! I have owned this car for about a year and I hate to sell it, but I just bought another car, which makes 5 total, and one has to go. I just don't drive this as much as I used to due to my new commute. Although, last year I put 5,000 miles on this truck with no issues at all! 100% RELIABLE!!! I have all the details listed below to the best of my knowledge. Please call or e-mail if you have any questions at all! Exterior This car was restored about 2 years ago by the previous owner. It was not done professionally and it shows in some areas. Overall I would say the exterior of this single cab is easily a 7.5-8.0 out of 10. The paint is very glossy, and looks great on 95% of the truck. There are a few cracks in the paint (many more pictures can be sent via e-mail. Just e-mail me at exile.evan@gmail.com) Also, the gas door was replaced and is now chrome, which I'm not a fan of. There is also one small spot that was touched up that doesn't match. It's less than the size of a dollar, but noticeable. The window seals are all new, the glass half original, and have aftermarket. The front and rear windshields are aftermarket, the side glass is all original VW accept for the passenger side wind wing is not OG. The wheels and caps look fantastic, they were redone. The tires have 5,000 miles on them, and appear to have 90% or better tread. The bumpers have a few small chips, and cracks, nothing major. I am not 100% sure of the original color, but I don't beleive it was white. I think it may have been red. There has been some bondo used in the rear, and on the drop sides that I can see. The front seems to be clean of any front end prior damage. Very solid car. Interior As you can see, the interior is not "period correct" for 1966 but it does look good with the acceptation of the kick panels and the missing ceiling panels. These are all cheap fixes though. The dash was repainted with the exterior and looks very nice with very few blemishes. The gauges are all original and work well. The Hazard switch does not work, nor do the wipers. The wipers need a new switch. Those are the only 2 things that don't work. Lights, signals, horn, gauges, ect all work well. Mechanical This Single Cab under went a 100% mechanical restoration. New tires, struts, wheel cylinders, master cylinder, rebuilt 1600cc single port, new filters, voltage regulator, clutch, ect, ect, ect. This single cabn would make a cross country trip today NO PROBLEM, drives FANTASTIC!! I would drive it anywhere. Starts up first time every time. Motor is strong, sounds as it should, no known issues at all. Body As you can see this single cab is SOLID......orignally a CA car, then lived in AZ for years until 2010 I beleive....the pan, rails, panels, ect are all EXTREMELY solid, no rust issues at all. The previous owner also had the ENTIRE thing rhino lined to ensure this single cab will be around! The panels are all solid, with no rust issues...the only rust that I have seen is on some of the exterior hinges, original drivers wind wing, and a few small surface spots here and there....many pictures of everything.
