Vehicle Detail

This 1965 Classic Sunbeam Alpine IV Roadster Convertible has a very straight body for a vehicle of its age. The engine is complete minus a carburetor. Needs full restoration. All original. This car has not been altered anywhere that I have been able to tell and I looked this car over from top to bottom. The only repairable flaw that I note are as follows: rusted floor pans, 2 small dents to the left front side just above the head light, and a line of minimal surface rust to the bottom of the passenger door as shown in the close up photo shown, otherwise incredibly straight and original car. The only exception that I can note is that the muffler has been replaced. So the new buyer can make this classic what they desire, to the max. I have the original seats and headlight trim, not shown in the pictures. This convertible was last registered in 1983 and has been stored ever since then. I had plans on restoring this vehicle, but just don't seem to have the resources to make this dream a reality. If you are picky and want your classic car to be just as good as it was built from the factory, this car is an option for you- that was my plan. Its definitely a loss to me, but I know it is right for somebody. The convertible is listed locally for sale, so I would like to reserve the right to sell prior to the end of the auction if purchased outside of Ebay. Otherwise, I have set this auction up as a NO RESERVE auction and the convertible goes to the highest bidder. Happy Bidding!! On Jul-01-12 at 19:11:01 PDT, seller added the following information: An Ebayer asked if the engine cranks, and the answer to that question is - Yes. Also, after adding a battery and cranking it, out of curiosity, I removed the spark plugs to check their condition. The outside looks like they have been there since 1965, but the end of the spark plug that is inside the engine looks amazingly great with minimal carbon deposits and very clean. See for yourself, I just took a picture and will add it to the pictures shown in this ad. On Jul-04-12 at 07:45:18 PDT, seller added the following information: Another bidder asked what is the VIN. The Vehicle Identification Number is : SAL501322. Titled in Texas, and has a clear title.
