Vehicle Detail
Bought this partially done in 5 years ago and have had a lot of fun...... Odometer not accurate has been rolled, does work as does speedo and everything inside. The bad..... Paint is great from 15 feet, has runs on the rockers gold painted stripes on both sides, hood pins are cheap and could use new, passenger door needs the latch lubricated, a small tranny fluid leak, a small rear leak(could just be pressing out from gasket as rear was worked on), hood scoop seperating on one side, round paint chip about 3/8 inch on the hood with minor paint flaws on rest of body, leans slightly to the right(leaf spring not broken, but leaned when I bought her), primer(orange) shows at various thin parts around the front windshield that paint line was broken when windshield was replaced, a wisp of smoke when starting, better when warmed up. Ooops, right front fender lip was bent under by me as when I got the car it was cutting the tires before I worked on the front end. The good.....I found under the 2 barrel cast iron intake a 5.0 roller motot, so it is decorated with lightining GT-40 heads which where milled, valve job, seals, valves, competition springs and a Performer Intake New stuff...Scorpion roller rockers, Holley 4160, Valve Covers, Air Cleaner, Pertronix, Coil, 3.23 rear, Detroit Tru-trac, Shelby front springs, Shelby front sway bar, Front disk brakes(conversion kit NOT GRANADA), Tach, Dash, Radio, Fat Max underlayment, exhaust, mufflers and H-Pipe, Shocks, Global West Sub Frame Connectors So a really cool looking 1965 clone of a 66 Hertz Shelby that is actually fun to drive, stops and handles and has some very nice motivation. The interior was redone, the body and paint was done when I got it. Looks like new floor pans and the like. Has correct If you want a perfect car, look somewhere else. If you want a car that snaps the heads of both young and old when you are driving down the street and won't break your heart if you scratch it..... The car is perfect for you, it was for me. I bought it after having a 1969 Mach 1 428CJ rot in my garage with 29 miles in 2 years driven and I sold it, made a lot of money and bought something I could drive and have fun with. Check the you tube video for views of the interior and hear her run.
