For sale is my 1973 GT 6 MK III which I have owned for 7 years. The MKIII is the most desirable of the GT 6. No rotoflex couplings. Shortly after my purchase, a extensive overhaul of the car commenced by me. The body was stripped to bare metal and the floors, rockers and rear gravel pan were all replaced with new parts. After 7 years, the body is absoluty rust free and the paint near perfect. There are 3 chips on the body the size of a pencil eraser. The car is finished in GM Mocha pearl metallic which is a goldish/tan color. Although not original for this car I have had many compliments on the color and finish. It is a good match for this body style. The slight pearl accents the beautiful lines of this car. The chassis and running gear of the car is clean and solid but not detailed. The chassis has some surface rust here and there but no rot. The motor and drive train work fine and there are no leaks unusual whines or driving issues. Brakes have power front discs that work perfectly. The car has a non stock rear turbo muffler and chrome tip which looks and sounds nice. The exterior trim on the car is a mix of old, new and re -chromed. The bumpers are perfect and rechromed. The only areas that could use refreshing are the door handles, vent window frames and gas cap which are all available new. They are presentable but not perfect The interior is all new except for the seats which have new foam but are the original material which was tan. The seats were dyed black to match the rest of the interior and are still fine although slightly shinnier than the rest of the interior. Some gauges have been replace including the speedometer mileage is incorrect. The original read 72948 miles . New dash cover, new wood dash board and a beautiful Nardi steering wheel. Every switch, gauge and light is working except for the seatbelt warning buzzer and light. Someone removed the buzzer and I have not located one nor choose to reconnect it. There is a blemish on the carpet on the rear deck the size of a quarter. Melted by a drop light. All original smog equipment is in place with the exception of the vacuum retard system for the distributor. The tires are like new and still have the nubs on them. The car has a new perfect windshield and all the glass is factory tinted. Both door glass have scratches on them where they were rubbing on the door frame at some point. All the door gaskets and felts have been replaced. A pair of good door glass windows are included but not tinted . I will also include at no additional cost if interested the following used parts: Complete engine less intake and carbs, transmission, rear diff, front suspension and 2 boxes of various parts. The car is a great driver quality and replacing a few pieces of the mentioned bright work and a detailing of the engine and chassis would make this car out standing. You would be hard pressed to find any gt6 of this quality at this price level. I am selling this car because I would like to use the money to complete some other projects. The car is registered and insured and available for inspection and road test by contacting me. The car has a clear NY title in my name and I have over $6500.
