Here is a super nice FJ40 that I have poured a lot of heart and soul into. This Cruiser has all of the original mechanical parts such as the engine, tranny, transfer case.. The previous owner installed power steering that works great. Here are a list of details, restorations: -New 32x11.50 Mud Tires Summit Mud Dog-Black "wagon wheel" spoke wheels-New Seat vinyl-New headliner-New Exterior paint (metallic Green) White, Silver-Roll on bedliner in back area and up rear ambulance doors-New weather stripping around all doors-New exhaust from the headers back-New front turn signals I have done a partial restoration of this vehicle including: cutting out rust on fenders, doors, etc. Welding in new sheet metal and rear door halves. Entire body was treated with rust eliminator, then heavily coated with a premium primer/sealer, then top coated with a single stage metallic green. The paint is not perfect and I have included a photo of some runs in the passenger door. .These could probably be buffed out by a professional detailer. The paint looks incredible though for the most part. The body still has some bumps and is not perfect by any means... (see photos) the worst of which is the passenger rear fender area. This could also be easily fixed with a replacement fender or a good body shop. I have not done any work to the underside of the body (floor boards). The 2F engine starts right up and runs great. The cruiser drives great down the road (for a FJ40..). All lights, heaters, etc work. Front and rear heaters both work flawlessly. Jump seats are in great condition. The radio works too, but currently does not have any speakers. It does have a very minor oil leak (a few drops after shut off), which is common among these rigs but should be easily fixed by a mechanic. Four wheel drive works flawlessly. The top is removable. The 4 original wheels and used tires are included with the vehicle. This vehicle is well on its way to being fully restored. With the right owner and a bit of work it would be worth a mint. IT IS A REAL HEAD TURNER.. and it is tough to take it anywhere with out getting comments or thumbs up. It really looks great. I have tried to describe the vehicle as honestly as possible but if you have questions On Jun-12-12 at 10:02:43 PDT, seller added the following information: Just to be clear, this vehicle is a partial restoration. There is still rust on some panels such as the quarterpanels, floor boards, etc. Rust is impossible to remove completely without replacing the parts. The process on this vehicle was sand/grind visible rust, apply rust remover/dissolver, then coat with a sealer/primer. The floorboards in the front driver/passenger area need replaced. Please do not bid on this vehicle expecting it to be rust-free or in perfect condition... it is not. However, no rust, bubbles, etc. have re-appeared on the paint that is now over a year old.
