1969 Mercury Cougar XR 7 Convertible, 351 Windsor. Clean and clear title. We have owned this car since 2000. We purchased the car from it's original owner in VA, and we have put in new leather sets, carpet and convertible top. This is a matching numbers car. The 1969 351 Windsor engine with a Holley Carb was completely rebuilt in the fall of 2011, and added a Comp Cam for performance. The car has a set of Flowmaster 40 Series mufflers. It has all matching numbers FMX transmission which was completely rebuilt in 2000. The body is straight with minor bondo in the drivers side rear quarter. Paint is good and was repainted before we purchased it in 2000. White is not it's original color, but Ford paint color "Bright Blue Matellic". All the chrome is in good condition and the front and rear bumpers were rechromed in 2000. The car has Magnum 500 wheels with BF Goodrich tires. The gas gauge and clock do not work, but we have clusters purchased but have not installed as of this listing. The radio is era correct after market. The AC is currently not installed on the car. The air conditioning needs to be rebuilt, but we have all the parts. Under the car you will find a few spots of surface rust, but nothing that can not be brushed away. The car had new inner rockers replaced in 2000. The floors of the car found to have had a few dime sized spots that were removed and repaired in 2000 before the new carpet was installed. The floors are in good shape. We have numerous extra parts including original wheels but no hub caps, carb, air cleaner, valve covers, original radio, and chrome pieces.
