Vehicle Detail

1967 Plymouth Satellite. 383 4bbl., Automatic 727, console, bucket seats, power steering, AM radio. This great Satellite was sold new in Eugene, Oregon, and then spent most of its life in the Central Oregon high desert country. This is a dry, rust-free west coast car, the original body was well-preserved by the dry Oregon desert climate. All-original body, no replacement panels or rust found. Although the body is in great shape, the interior was sun-baked, and needed to be replaced. Original seats were re-done with new seat upholstery from Legendary. Also, new Legendary door panels, armrest pads, headliner, package tray, carpet, sill plates, etc., were installed. Interior color is the original P6-K, Copper. This a rare interior color, which is beautiful and a nice change from the usual Black interior. Car had one re-paint a couple years ago, in the original factory White. New reproduction gas tank installed summer 2011. The new gas tank is made in Canada, NOT China!! Tires and wheels are fair/good, but I was planning to replace them. I think the car would look better with original Chrysler magnum rally wheels. Underside of the car is clean, no rust in the floors, no rust in the trunk, no rust in the spare tire well. I purchased this Satellite in April 2011 from a private owner in Central Oregon. I love the 1967 body style! It is the same 1967 body style Richard Petty drove to the NASCAR championship in 1967!! I had a 1967 Plymouth Satellite in high school in the late 1960’s. I had been looking a long time to find a nice one, and finally found this car in 2011. However, since then I have had some health issues, including two surgeries, and pneumonia. I have not been able to work on the car at all. So I have not able to upgrade the car, and enjoy it, the way I had planned. All I was able to do was install the reproduction gas tank, and buff & wax the car. Then it went into dry, indoor storage, and is still sitting in storage. I don't want to let it sit there, it is too nice. So if I can't work on it, I have to sell it.Car starts/runs/drives well, we did change the oil and included a ZDDP additive. Current mileage is: 90,300 and believed to be correct. We were able to take the car to one Cruise-in last summer, and it got lots of attention. You NEVER see the 1967 Satellites anymore!! Please note in the photos, all the exterior emblems were removed when we cleaned and waxed the car in late summer 2011. These emblems are in fair to poor condition, and are included with the car. I was planning to replace the emblems. Some other work that was done in the past few years includes: radiator re-core, fuel pump, master cylinder, wheel cylinders, heater core, gas tank sending unit, etc. Items that need attention: Both front & rear bumpers have dents. The rear finish panel is good, but was sun-baked, so it needs to be re-painted. Both original tail light bezels were long-gone when I bought the car. (Reproduction bezels are available.) The wheel well trim molding on the front passenger side is broken on one end, needs to be replaced. There are small cosmetic issues inside the car interior, such as dash knobs, paint, etc. Fuel gauge does not work. Front windshield has a water leak on passenger side, I just noticed it when we washed the car. This is not a restored car. It is an original car that has survived, and been kept up pretty well. This is a great car that you can drive and upgrade as you want, while enjoying the car. There is some paperwork & receipts with the car, for recent work done from approx 2004 to 2011. The original factory Build Sheet is included. The original factory Certicard is long gone. The car has a clear, clean, Oregon title. This 1967 Satellite is priced low for a nice 383 car! Please ask any questions before bidding. Car is sold “As is, Where is, No warranties expressed or implied”. Buyer is responsible for vehicle transportation and insurance. I have described the car as accurately as possible, but I am not a mechanic. I am not a body & paint man. I am not a dealer. A $500 deposit due within 24 hours after auction ends. Payment in full is required before vehicle or title will be released. Please email with questions.Thank you. On Jun-04-12 at 10:57:59 PDT, seller added the following information: Thanks for all your questions.Just to clarify: This is a genuine "H" code 1967 Satellite, which is the factory 383 4bbl high performance option.
