Your chance to own a single owner [a 65 year old] completely stock 2001 S2000. My dad bought this car new in 2001 as an everyday driver. He put 13,000 miles on it, evenly, over 4 years. For the past 7 years he has used this on dry weekends and summers for day touring. It has been under cover or in a garage in Oregon its whole life and only been out of state to Washington twice. Maintenance has either been done by him [oil and filter changes every 3000 miles or 6 months], by the local Honda dealer, or for the past 6 years, the local Acura dealer. The service manager at the Acura dealership has said he would be willing to discuss details of maintenance with a serious bidder. The car has minor imperfections and has never been in any collision. There is a 3 inch long, 1/8 inch deep, crease without paint damage, in the hard top. There is a scratch with paint damage on the left bumper cover. The left quarter panel has a minor dent with no paint damage. The passenger side door has a significant “door ding” without paint damage. The left tail light lens has a scuff on it. There is a minor dent on the right front fender. The soft top plastic rear window is dulled somewhat. I have tried to show these in the photos. There is no curb rash on the wheels. It has been broken into twice. The first time, the passenger side window was pried outward and both seats and front wheels and tires were taken. They were replaced with original equipment at a cost of $11,000. There is minor wear on the bolster of the driver’s side replacement seat. The second time, the soft top was cut into and the floor mats, shifter knob and both sides S2000 badging were stolen. It was fitted with a new top and the internal parts were replaced, again with original equipment. He had the front fenders sanded and repainted but didn’t replace the badging. Since then it had been stored each night in a locked garage with an alarm. It is running well and needs nothing done at this time. Interior is clean and has had sheepskin covers on the seats for the past 6 years. An original equipment, black, hard top, a $2000.00 option and $800 custom made sheepskins are included. He has a rolling storage rack for the hard top that he will include as well but may complicate shipping. He also has 4 Honda oil filters and washers he will include if wanted. He is retiring and will not have a garage space to store it at his new house and wants to sell it. I have tried to include comprehensive pictures but will be happy to take any others that will help you decide. The car is located in Salem, Oregon. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer but he loves this car and will be happy to help in any way he can to find it a new home with someone who will appreciate it. I require a $500.00 deposit within 24 hours of closing the auction via Pay-pal. If you choose to take delivery in Salem and you reject the car because it is not as described, I will gladly return your deposit. I will be sending it to AutoCheck tomorrow. We've had a lot of questions about maintenance. The Oil has been changed every 3000 miles or 6 months whichever came first. In In May of last year at 19,153 miles the transmission fluid, rear differential fluid and coolant were changed at the Dealership In March of 2010 at 18,178 miles the Brake fluid was changed at the Dealership and the pads were at 85%
