Vehicle Detail

With A Great Deal of reluctance I have decided to sell my 1949 Studebaker Pickup that I inherited from my Father when he died in 2006. We have kept it under a tarp over the years thinking we would restore it so we could take it to Car Shows but we farm & we have not had the time to do this. My health has declined over the years due to Lupus & Rheumatoid Arthritis so we decided that it was time to let it go to someone who would have the time to take care of it. My Father Drove it for many years back & for th to work in Pittsburg, Ks. and it has been at my Parents home In Frontence over the years under a Tarp. Our Son lives at the home so he has kept an eye on it for me. He recently graduated from PSU and may not be living at the home much longer and we do not want it where someone cannot watch it. Dad had it painted a Dark Red in the Early 2000"s and he said that was the original color of the truck. As you can see the Bumpers are Painted white which is common for that model. Dad said it was A 1948 1/2 but the cab style was changed in 1948 and that made it A 1949, Dad put an Automatic Transmission in it because he had Surgery for Lung Cancer and the surgery effected his right shoulder and it was difficult for him to shift all of the time. Dad passed away in 2006 and that is when I inherited the pickup. It has a title in the State of Kansas and it is currently registered in Cherokke Co. as an Antique. We have started the truck once in the past few years. You will notice a break in the windshield on the passenger side and this occured during a wind storm but because it was under a tarp the interior was not effected. The Bed is in Good Condition. The paint job is in Good Condition & the Interior is in good condition. We are selling it AS IS AND THE BUYER WILL NEED TO PICK IT UP IN FRONTENC, KANSAS. PAYMENT NEEDS TO BE MADE THROUGH PAY PAL BEFORE THE TRUCK IS PICKED UP. IF YOU HAVE FURTHER QUESTIONS PLEASE E-MAIL THEM AND ii WILL DO MY BEST TO ANSWER THEM. My Brother has several Studebakers and will assist me in answering Questions. This would be a great Truck for any Studebaker Collector. On May-29-12 at 08:38:42 PDT, seller added the following information: ADDITIONAL iNFORMATION------I visited with my brother this AM and he was telling me that when Dad bought this picup it was painted as a TEXACO SERVICE TRUCK with all of the TEXACO STARS and the different shades of Green. The color it was painted at this time is Autumn Wheat. ThanksOn May-30-12 at 12:34:51 PDT, seller added the following information: ADDITIONAL INFORMATION-----We have added additional pictures that were requested by some of the people looking at this Pickup. We went in yesterday to get the pictures and we tried to start the pickup but it would not start and we do not know why----it could be that it has set for 4 years since it was last started. In the process of sitting for so many years it has flat tires as you can see in the pictures.. This Pickup will have to be transported. I hope this additional information is helpful. Thanks
