1959 Austin Healey "Bug Eye" Sprite. I have a clear Utah title in my name for the car. This is a "barn find" Austin Healey Sprite. It has not been on the road in over 25 years. The car was the victim of an backyard restoration project that got started and was never completed. The car is almost complete and all of the hard to find parts are in place. The car was sanded down and never repainted. It has a thin coat of primer to protect the metal, but needs a good paint job and some minor body work. The engine is original to the car and turns freely. As you can see from the photos the engine compartment is very complete. Almost all parts on the car have been removed and none of the bolts are rusted. The car is almost rust free. There is a NOS top, side curtains, and numerous extra parts. There is an original Sprite repair manual and the spare time in the small trunk. All the extra parts shown in the photos go with the car. The fender wells are dry and the original floor and pan are in very good, rust free, condition. Please look closely at the photos. I have super-sized them to give you a good picture of what you are bidding on. I want the new owner to know exactly what they are getting. The reserve price is very low based on the condition of the car. It is a good restoration candidate based on its dry western body and the fact that the car is almost completely original. To insure you know what you are bidding on, I have made a list of missing parts: 1. the grille, 2. the front bumper, 3. One of the side curtain attaching screws. (Three of the attaching screws are in place.) 4. some of the wheel studs are missing. There is an extra transmission case with some transmission parts. There is an extra starter, exhaust manifold, and numerous extra parts. The hood isn't aligned properly, but opens and closes as it should.
