Vehicle Detail

I bought this TR6 last summer from a doctor out in New Mexico...it was sun scorched, and had a bad thrust washer. Located a 1969 TR6 engine with 38,000 miles on it...very low ring wear, so my friend and I removed the engine, steam cleaned the 69 block, replaced the rings, replaced the rocker shaft, with new bearings, had the 72 original headed polished, installed a moderate camshaft. This car is faster than your usual TR, I have driven this car since the rebuild...placed about 3,500 miles on the rebuild. Starts nicely every time . Things you must do...unless I do them before it sells...replace speedo cable...refurbished speedo installed...connect overdrive wiring. Previous owner rewired the car. New dashboard, very nice original color paint job...I had the shop completely strip the car down to metal, primer, color...then clear coat. This car has stainless steel headers, as well as Anza exhaust. Konis shocks, as well as the shock conversion to the rear, as well as the rollbar. This is not your regular TR6 I have a factory hardtop...also new Emerald Green for an additional cost. Feel free to call me 516 410 0384 On May-17-12 at 10:49:33 PDT, seller added the following information: Does need a new windshield, I have all of the new rubber seals/gaskets.On May-17-12 at 17:54:49 PDT, seller added the following information: The convertible top should be replaced...it will be okay for a while, but I would replace it. The fan and rheostat switch needs to be replaced. The car does have a crane xr3000 electronic ignition, as well as the spin on oil filter conversion. I love this car, but I have two other 1971 TR6's, I have to downsize...one son in college, and another one next year. Good luck with your bidding. On May-18-12 at 10:40:45 PDT, seller added the following information: Additional info on the rebuild and recent work performed; New clutch, pressure plate, and thow out bearing. Crankshaft was machined and proper bearings installed to the 69 block. Receipts for mentioned parts replaced will be included. HARDTOP is not included with the car, if winning bidder or anyone else wishes to buy it, I will sell it for $1000.00. It is one of the best I have seen in a while.
