Here it is... a hard to find, totally original, unmolested, and pampered Porsche 944 ready for drive and show. If you are looking at 944's you'll already know that virtually all of them have either high miles or have been driven hard. This one is virtually museum quality, and has an extensive documented record of ownership. Finished in Guards red with super very rare factory black cloth with white pinstripes (Porsche aficionados tell me they've never seen another like this) . Less than 26,000 original miles. 5-speed, limited slip differential, removeable top/sunroof, and new cd stereo. Books and records including original Illinois title. Look at the photo's- This is NOT a reconditioned car... it still looks just as it did when it left Germany....engine bay is spotless, interior and exterior is excellent. History: This Porsche 944 was one of the first ones brought to the U.S.... ordered by a physician in suburban Chicago who used it as a weekend car for 10 years and 21,000 miles. After the original owner died the car was put into storage for many years before finally being sold by the estate to a collector in Virginia in 2008 with just over 21,000 miles on the odometer. That collector put less than 5,000 miles on the car over the past 4 years. After leaving storage the 944 was mechanically freshened with new fluids etc. Here's what's new, changed or upgraded since new: new battery tires (now have 5,000 miles on them) a/c converted to R34 new Sony in dash cd radio (no cutting was done!! For purists...the original Blaupunkt from factory plus original speakers come with the car) New porsche rear reflector plate (between rear lights) all wheels resurfaced and powder coated less than 1,000 miles ago new clutch slave cylinder * I do not have paperwork indicating the timing belt being changed though a Porsche mechanic doing a tune-up/oil change etc said it appeared to have been done.
