Up for auction is a 1968 mustang C-code factory power steering and a/c car. To start I'd like to say that we have sold 2 other restorations on ebay and by our rating you can see that we specify everything to its correct condition. This is a very solid car that has already had it's major rust problems resolved. The car itself recieved under carriage, floor pan, and leaf spring purches repaired in 1998. When I purchased the car the first things replaced were the areas of rust with new metal (not bondo or fiberglass). Purchased and installed already are new door hinges, right side passenger rust free door and passenger rust free fender. New metal includes a replaced lower drivers side rear fender well, complete right side rear fender all the way to body line and door pillar and a whole new passenger b- pillar completely tacked then solid brazed in. It also has a new Ford tooling replacement hood by mustangs unlimited cut for air intake with a working hood scoop wich by the way is an original 69 mach 1 hood scoop with the front grill scoop chrome molding that I have with all the other goodies. The interior has been finished and is mostly all new just replaced parts to include seats in black and dark red, redone back window splash , headliner is in good condition (please see pictures) new black door panels, new passenger door latch and lock, new passenger window tracks and door guides, brand new dash pad from mustangs unlimited, new maroon carpeting with jute pad, new door and window seal plates (have not been installed yet), both sides door skid plates are new, custom billet stearing wheel with chrome mounting plate and hardware, cd stereo system, new glovebox inner pocket. All lights and instruments are in working order on this car. Has a brand new just installed B&M z-gate shifter with chrome and red shifter handle. I have all the front and rear window chrome molding in excellent shape Now for the POWER. It is a numbers matching 289 v8 with a master 302 build kit from crank to piston caps, the original 289 heads and original exhaust headers, edlebrock performer 289 intake with a holley 650 carb, original c4 automatic transmission with a new performance plus torque converter, brute force universal joints, and a 3.83:1 geared 9" rear end with new seal kits installed, the brakes have been completely redone with new hardware, brake cylinders, master cylinder and lines to the metering valve, both upper ball joints were replaced and has new steering rack boot kit. The rear has air shocks in working condition with lakewood traction bars installed. has new motor mounts, trans mount. the oil is fresh, trans fluid is clean with new trans filter and gasket, power steering is in working order, and the radiator is very solid with no rust outside or in and fresh coolant. just installed new belts, coil, ignition voltage regulator, and manual choke. I have a nice set of red accell 8mm loom sparkplug wires to be installed. The fuel system is almost completely new with a brand new gas tank, sending unit, fuil pump, and fuel filter the only thing not new is the lines and they were completely cleaned out. Just put 3 gallons of fresh fuel in the tank only to get the engine fired up. EXTRA NEW PARTS TO FINISH THE JOB The only things that were not ordered to get this car finished was a door and window gasket seal kit. The following items will be included in the sale and will pretty much make this thing look great when it's done NEW parts not installed include: Headlight eye lid covers, new fog light bulbs, front grill molding l/r new chrome with new install clip kit, new triple chrome front and rear bumpers with hardware kit and mounting brackets (the front bumper brackets have already been installed see pics) i have all 4 fender well chrome and both sides lower side chrome body moldings with brand new mounting hardware included, all scott drake ordered replacement chrome emblems ( both side mustang 289 emblems/both sides mustang lettered emblems and rear trunk lid mustang letters all still in package, a brand new set of scott drake chrome with black rear tail light bezels kit with hardware and gaskets still in package (all 6), all new chrome bumper hardware, both headlight bulbs, new scott drake rearview chrome mirror, both driver and passenger side scott drake chrome door handles, and i am sure of a couple other new parts i have not listed yet. The car is a factory special ordered a/c car with the inside dash area completely still installed and I have all the under engine compartment parts (original) to include everything from mounting brackets to lines and compressor and condensor included with the sale. All the pulleys and everything is there to finish the job on the a/c ( i do not know the condition of the compressor or anything though as it was removed to dress the engine wich also has new loom holders and a new set of chrome specre valve covers, and a new set of accel (red 8mm plug wires to be installed) and a brand new holley air filter. I also have the original valve covers, air intake filter, and fan in case you wanted it back to the original look. the wheels are american racing rims that need to be blasted and rechromed but have new cooper cobra 265/50/15's in the back and 235/60/15's in the front all 4 have new valve stems and caps and 6/32" treads The car does run and drive but the idle needs work on the carb or possibly a build kit (hasn't been able to idle since the new parts were installed and I think the carb needs a build kit or replaced (possibly the float is sticking) The motor fires right up and runs very strong, no smoke out of the dual off road h pipe exhaust with new tail flanges and ran excellent with the old 2 brl that was on it. The interior was painted with a candy apple red metallic pearl paint which I have a full gallon kit included in the sale of the car. I have been fixing up cars for over 10 years now and I assure you that this car has great potential or I would not have spent the amount of money on all these new parts. This car has a clean Florida title. This is a NO RESERVE auction. Please bid responsibly.
