Yes this is an actual Fairlady Z from Japan. The story is as follows... a good friend of mine purchased it in 1984 in Oregon when he was in the Army from a little old lady. It had something like 24,000 kilometers on it at the time. He did all of the work on it until 2004 when I purchased it from him. It has been in storage for the past few years. I've replaced most of the rubber fuel lines, flushed the coolant, changed the oil and replaced the Master Brake cylinder (yes with Nissan parts) this year and put a few miles on it to make sure it's good to go. This is a great Sunday car to take out whether it be the local autocross or for a spirited Sunday drive. Here are the modifications that have been done and specifications of the vehicle as it sits. 1971 Nissan Fairlady Z2.8 liter block with flat top pistonsE31 Heads (extensively shaved, this car has a very high compression ratio, runs best on a blend of 110 & 94 octane)Triple Weber Carbs with Cannon intakes5 speed transmission out of ?? year Z car.Subaru clutch pack rear end (almost instantly locking and a ton of fun)Corbeau Race seats with drivers side race harness. Springs are shortened to a 1"drop with upgraded strutsPoly-urethane bushings and upgrades sway bars15" Magnesium racing wheel fits 225-50R15 General condition of the car is good and there is no rust. This car has always been stored or garage kept. I have an owners manual in Japanese along with the Red Road flare with Japanese kanji on it. Windshield was replaced a few thousand miles ago. This is not a Datsun made into a Fairlady. This is an original Fairlady from Japan. She was repainted in 2003 (original Tokyo Nissan sticker kept on). Items that need attention- Tires are pretty much shot.Rally clock, left turn signal (could be a bulb),and wiper blades are INOPFan blower set up needs some TLC and gas gauge only reads from 2/3 full to emptyCarpeting does not existChip in the hood Extra items included-Window trim kitoriginal engine and trans (yes they match VIN, running? Probably not, they've been sitting for over a decade) Questions- This is what I know about this car. I don't know very many more very specific details. If you bother me with a stupid question (example: What color are the seats?) When you can see the answer in the listing or picture-I'm simply not going to answer or reply to your question. I'm a General Manager for a Toyota dealership. I'm a car guy. This is my personal car. I'm selling it because I simply don't have enough time for it and feel it should go to a good home where someone can really enjoy it. All though I've never listed or sold anything on Ebay I've personally purchased many cars online and can understand the fright factor. I will fully disclose everything about this car that I know. It is a 40+ year old car. It IS NOT IN SHOWROOM condition. IT IS NOT PERFECT. IT IS A CAR-THEY BREAK. No warranty is included. It is SOLD AS IS. Now that that part is over. If you're local and would like to see it run or take a ride in it I have no problem with that. I do have video of the engine running I will email out if requested along with additional photos. Pickup/Shipping- I would prefer local pick up but if you want to ship it that's on you. I will work with who ever you use but I will not find someone for you. (don't forget you have to pick up the tranny and engine too.) I'm not responsible for any damages of the vehicle if you have it shipped. Payment- All though you may want to pick it up RIGHT NOW you may not until funds are verified. I will accept a cashiers check that I can verify, money order or good ol' fashion CASH always works. You have 7 days to pay in full. $1000 non-refundable down payment via pay pal required at close. Fun stuff- You will have an absolute riot every time you drive this car. Especially with your significant other/friend while they read the newspaper in the passenger seat. Also this car is a monster at the local autocross. This is a unique car that you aren't going to find again so bid away! Unlike most cars this truly is an investment and one that's a blast to drive! Good luck!
