Vehicle Detail
Due to some financial dificulties, I have to part with this car. The original owner parked this car in her garage in 1966. In 1976 she sold it to her Preacher, where he took it home, and parked it in his garage. He loaded the car with moth balls, and left it sit till I bought it in Oct 2011. It still has a smell of moth balls. It needs a good airing out. There is no rust through anywhere on this car, floor, and trunk are solid. I had the head removed and the valves unstuck, (soaked with Marvel Mystery Oil) new battery, gas tank boiled, and coated, new fuel tank sending unit, carb, and fuel pump rebuilt, tune up,new belt, and hoses, brakes redone, 4 brand new wide white steel belted radials ($1400.00), wiper motor rebuilt, overdrive relay, solenoid, and governor rebuilt. It starts, runs, and drives nice, and I have taken it on a couple of hundred mile trips without any problem. The headliner is stained above the drivers door, and the drivers door arm rest needs to be recovered. The front seat needs an upholstery cleaning. It looks like it had an Earl Sheib paint job on it, as it is peeling on the pass side fender, and around the headlite bezels. A good paint job, and a new headliner this would be a really nice driver. My reserve, and buy it now is alot less than what I have in it.On May-05-12 at 11:52:09 PDT, seller added the following information: The overdrive has been repaired, and is working fine. The gas gauge is also working.
