I am selling my 1981 AMC Eagle. It is in good shape. It has always been registered in Oklahoma or Texas, so no rust. The mileage is correct as the paint and interior will test to that. Engine sounds good as does the tranny. The 258 has low end torque but like all 258, you won't burn the rubber off. The 3speed Chrysler shifts nicely with no play. Will comfortably go 65 down the road with averages around 16mpg. I had to build the pieces that join the body to the bumper as they were missing, but looks factory. Top is in like new condition as is the paint. If you look at the hood from the side, there are 6 SMALL dents, I'm guessing from hail, but am not sure. All lights work, ac will freeze you out. I drive it everyday so mileage will be slightly more. Clear Texas title. Transmission pan leaks, as I should have permatex the seal when I replaced the filter. Front round lights are not hooked up because I wasn't sure where to put the switch but they are new. Nice car, hate to sell but moving and no more room. I have the original carb and radio but I will have to ship it to buyer as it's at my other house. Fourwheel drive is automatic, no switches. It is in working condition. I like this model because with later models, you had to stop, pull a button out and switch it into 4wd. Some people tried to do this going down the road, yea, not good.
