1977 MERCURY COUGAR XR7 !!!MUST SELL A.S.A.P.!!! THIS COULD BE YOUR NEXT PROJECT CAR! I bought this car in Dallas Texas, Then I had it shipped to Wisconsin. I was going to turn this car in to a muscle car! But I got laid off from work and never called back. With my new job I just don't have the funds to fix her up. :( So that's why I am selling it, The wife is also bugging me to sell the car! Ok about the car, The body is in great shape! only one spot has rust and that's around the trunk molding!(SEE PICTURES ) It runs but it needs a head gasket, and it also knocks loud when she is running. It has a 351M in her. Headlights flicker on and off when they are on, I was told it's a bad ground but I have not check in to it, I did however changed the headlight switch, That did not help. She also has some small dings on her from a hail storm last summer, Hard to get a good picture of the dings. The underbody is in great shape, just one spot on the underbody that bugs me,And that is some one put a small hole on one side of the frame to mount the sway bar mount(so they can get a nut in the frame) Dome light, I was going to send out to get rechromed but never did and lost the lens for the map lights, wich don't work. So I got a newer dome light (looks the same but were the wires hook up they are different on the new one) Outside mirrors don't move with the cable switch inside And last of all the hood release cable is broke (I was going to put hood pins in the hood) I also got the carburetor rebuilt (its like new) Battery needs to be replaced too Dash clock does not work too (it could be just unplugged for all I know) Ok I told you every thing I know about this car no lies here no scams! I can only hope she finds a happy home! Buyer is welcome to come see the car or send someone over to see it Also buyer is responsible for getting the car from here to were ever your sending it!
