Vehicle Detail

1969 Baja Bug Price: $4500 Hi, Up for sale is my '69 Volkswagen Baja Bug. I will t r a d e for a Camper Bus, now that my daughter is older,I would like to get back mto camping so we can continue adventuring together. Tent camping is not as much fun as it was when I was 20. . . This is not a must sell because I need cash deal, so please no low ball offers :-) I have owned this Baja for 6 years, and loved every minute of it. It was frustrating at times since the previous owner was a complete hack. Now I can happily say I managed to get the car completely sorted. I basically replaced or rebuilt every system in her. I used this car as my daily driver for a long time, until I got my Jeep. I have taken this car on trips of 300+ miles, she will cruise all day at 65 miles an hour, at 70 the temperature creeps up higher than I like. Since I have owned this car, I have done the following: Replaced the entire braking system, New Master Cylinder, lines, upgraded to discs in the front with stainless braided hoses The engine is a 1600 DP Rebuilt the top end of the engine new jugs, pistons, rings, thoroughly cleaned all of the tins and case. New heads / valves New Oil cooler and seals New pushrod tubes and seals Electric fuel pump with regulator and shut off switch Upgraded from generator to new 90 amp alternator Rebuilt 73 and up transmission (better gear ratio and stronger 1st and reverse) Purchased from Valley VW in PA, Installed by SJVWC New pertronix 009 distributor New Bosch blue coil Wires Spark Plugs New 33/34 stock carb Breather box Velocity Stack and high flow Air Filter Replaced wiring harness with new buggy harness New shocks New Ball joints- (unfortunately they were cheap Chinese and 3 should be replaced, 1 was already replaced with a guaranteed for life one from AutoZone) New Starter (guaranteed for life one from AutoZone) New HD Battery Silver Star headlights LED tail light bulbs Third LED tail light Wheels and tires are new with less than 2k miles New Empi shifter & Polly shifter bushing (love it, firm and precise like a race car) New throttle and clutch cables New battery tray welded in, sealed with Eastwood's Rust Encapsulator paint Painted pans with Eastwood Rust Encapsulator HD front sway bar with Poly bushings _______________________________ Clarion cz309 head unit with USB Port 4 X 6.5 infinity speakers 200watt amp and 12 in Sony sub Custom stainless steel door panels with pockets Aftermarket Racing Seats, 4 point harness New windshield and Gasket Tach (cheap) Westberg gauges (Think Airplane. . ..) Volts / amps Oil temperature / pressure Custom Steering wheel Aluminum pedals and roller Late model rearview day night mirror with interior / map lights Aluminum valve covers Rust repair removal and metal work Paint job is Rattle Can, but cleans up nice, a 20 footer... __________________________________________________________ The stuff you need to know about: Rust on the Passenger side door - the upside: I have a set of rust free doors, one restored and painted, the other stripped to bare metal ready to finish included. Some holes in the package tray -- however I hit it with Eastwood Rust Encapsulator paint; the holes have not grown any larger in 2 years, I have a piece of stainless over top of it to prevent moisture from entering the interior Some rust on outer edge under rocker Sealed with Eastwood Rust Encapsulator Aftermarket Seats are uncomfortable for larger people. Tach is on the fritz I do have the front tube bumper it is included. It either needs to be modified, or the sway bar will need to come off, your choice. . . Not pictured but included is a custom 3/4 decklid (Posted current photo of it on the link below) More photos at : http://www.flickr.com/photos/28251030@N08/sets/72157623579098772 Car will be sold with the black wheels. Fronts: 175 X 65X 15 Rear: 30 X 9.5 X 15 BFG AT's ______________________________________________________________________ I have a clear NJ title in hand, the price is $4500 I will consider a full or partial t r a d e for a bus. Please no tire kickers or lowball offers, as stated I do not need to sell the car... If you think the price is too high, you are entitled to that opinion. I wish you the very best of luck finding that Volkswagen you always wanted. I will not ship overseas unless I have cold hard cash in my hands, no check or money order, CASH, and you make all of the arrangements after I am paid. Thanks!!!
