Up for auction is a beautiful 1991 Mercedes Benz SL-Class SL500 Convertible Roadster in great condition. This cas always been a California car and well maintained. Also included in the auction is the hardtop along with the whole hoist mechanism with pulleys and brace which holds the hardtop when it's off the vehicle. It's a great way to store the hard top in your garage so its out of the way and will not get scratched when removing it and moving it around. It's usually mounted right above where you store the car and can easily be lowered or raised right from or directly back on to the car. The car has always been garage kept and never involved in any accidents. Absolutely no scratches, dents, fading or rust anywhere! The paint is nice and shiny and does not show any aging anywhere. Very clean inside with both leather and carpeting in good condition. No holes or rips on the leather or ware and tare on the carpets. The top easily comes off and the process is fully automatic. Once the hardtop is off, the soft top also retracts and closes automatically and is in good working order. No holes or tares anywhere in the soft top and the see-through areas are in pristine condition with no fading, cracking, or misty areas at all. The soft top does not leak or rattle. The wind shade is also retractable and works great. Mechanically, the car is good shape with no issues with the motor or transmission and no leaks of any kind. Steering and handeling is great and very responsive. It has a 5.0 V8 engine which delivers lots of power and car is lots of fun. Exhaust is nice and quiet, brakes are good. Front tires have plenty of tread, rear tires need to be replaced in the near future.  This SL500 is fully loaded and has all the typical options along with some added features. Some of them include an aftermarket mini disc player with AM/FM radio, 10 disc CD changer in the rear and a nice amplifier which is all wired and connected to the head unit.  The drivers side door does not lock or unlock from the outside with the key. The key turns in the lock but does not lock or unlock the driver's door and the remote control does not activate the power door locks. The car can easily be locked when exiting by manually pushing the door lock down with your finger. Unlocking both the trunk and the passenger side door is no problem at all with the key. The headliner in the hardtop in a bit loose in some places but does not sag down and touch the head even if you're a taller individual. Clean title in hand and the California registration expires in January of 2013. Buyer is responsible for pickup and or shipping. A $500 deposit is due 24 hours of auction end and the remainder must be satisfied via certified cashiers check or cash. Vehicle must be pickup up within 7 days of auction end.
