Normal 0 This car is a real hoot. Turn key. Ready to drive. Very good solid condition. Bought it two years ago because it was on my bucket list. I’ve put on new tires and a new top. Backroad terror. Makes a Miata feel like a Ford Country Squire. Unfortunately, my days as a backroad terror are gone. Very solid car. No rust that I know about. Needs a new driver. I will be happy to facilitate inspections. Fun stuff: x 1275cc 4-cylinder engine (20 thousand over, flowed head with rim-flow valves, forged pistons, VP3 fast road cam) x 1¾" HIF6 SU carb, K&N air filter, Howley intake x Long center branch header x Genuine Mini Lite Sport Alloy 13"x6" wheels with larger lug nuts and studs. Now shod with Kumho Solus 175/70R13s. Two years old. Car had well worn 185/60s on it when I bought it. x 3:9.1 rear differential x Oil cooler x Front disc, rear drum brakes x Tube shock conversion x Robbins top new last year x Lucas PL700 headlights with halogen bulbs x Front tilt bonnet x 15" Moto-Lita wood-rimmed steering wheel x Timing belt conversion with aluminum cover x Crossflow radiator & overflow tank x Six blade fixed fan and electric pusher fan x 4-speed rib cage transmission x Negative ground electrics x Excellent black interior with maroon leather seats (sewn to original pattern) x Raydot side mirror (painted maroon to match seats) x Aluminum Aston flip gas cap x Amco side wind deflectors x No heater, no radio x Electric Smiths tach as found on later BMC sports cars x Stock wheels and hubcaps available if you want them. Not-so-fun full disclosure stuff: x Patina paint. Engine compartment needs detailing. x Inop horn. The air horns do look impressive however. x Inop gas gauge (new uninstalled sending unit and another Smiths gauge included); x Slightly foggy side curtains x The old spare is on a stock wheel that doesn’t fit on the car’s larger studs.
